I hope everyone had a nice Christmas day, mine was enjoyable. My GF got me this massage "gun" and it works very well. I am almost afraid to admit how well for fear that it won't last. I used it a couple times yesterday and this morning I woke up 9 hours after going to bed with almost no neck pain, I wasn't all sweaty like I normally am, and there was no overwhelming body ache like I usually have after sleeping for more than 7 hours. I have used it today as ell and it feels great, I will wait a few more days to see how well I feel before promoting the thing. I am still taking things easy, been a long stressful month so far and I am trying to get myself out of that position.

Strouty,
I run stabil year around for all of my non-vehicles... tractor, skidsteer, crawler tractor, and all the lawnmowers, snowblowers and rototiller. Saves a ton of hassle when it's time to fire something up that has been sitting for a while. I also keep battery maintainers on all batteries... which also saves time and money. I can get about 10 years out of a battery, as one just died that was dated 2010.
I try to use non-ethanol for the gas cans to use on equipment, and it seems to help as well.

OK, so the "gun that I have been using is not of this world. Apparently they have been around for about 5 years and I had never seen or heard of them. It is a percussive therapy and you basically beat your tense muscles into submission and then they thank you for the beating. My GF did a lot of research and bought one of the best ones for the money, they offer several models and there are all kinds of deals floating around, I don't want this to start looking like an advertisement, so I am not going to post links. The particular model I got was the called a pulse FX and the manufacturer has a lot of models this particular one is available for under $200 (well under in certain deals I found). If anyone has tense muscles that have caused issues over the years, this thing is like have a personal massage therapist in your house. It can be used every day, even multiple times a day, it has almost completely release my calf muscles that no massage therapist ever could. I think they will be completely free by the end of the week. I used to see a massage therapist two to three times per week trying to fix this and other issues, no human has been able to compare, plus the level of pain it creates is far less than that of the massages I have had. I can't even explain this, I wish I had one years ago. I had essentially given up, I also think if I had one of these back in 2010 that I wouldn't have needed the surgery on my forearms, yes, it is that amazing.

This thing is like a sawzall with a shorter travel and stronger force, it works very well and is very well built. From my research there are plenty of brands out there that should be capable of the same thing for less money, I only have mine to go by.

Thanks Ron.

The next couple weeks look decent weather wise, so I am going to try and get a few things done, almost all the snow is gone and it is like a second chance to get ready for winter. ;)

Perk has a tail light issue that has to be something inside the fixture itself. The passenger side has no brake light, no blinker, and no reverse light, the running light does work. The reason I think it is the actual unit itself is that the wiring for the driver side is essentially passed through it and all functions work on the driver side still, they share a ground as well. It is not the bulbs, tried that first. I think I have another one on one of the trucks out back, that would be the quickest test, hopefully that is all it is, if not I am kind of stumped, it isn’t like just the blinker doesn’t work, that would be an isolated issue. Having the brake and reverse light not working on one side, but working on the other side means something else altogether.

I have to help out the GF today, so limited time to mess with things, might end up there this afternoon. I need to get Perk functioning ASAP so I can get some of those forklifts out of the SG.

Thanks 1G!

Yesterday was not a productive day, in fact I didn’t get anything done after 9 AM. Oh well, those days happen.

Today I have a meeting with the insurance agent, then I have to deal with the new tenant paperwork for one of the rental properties. After that, I may be able to get out into the shop for a bit.

Or use Amazon prime, they are so slow to ship these days.

It depends on whether or not one has an Amazon fulfillment center nearby.

Be very careful about mail right now. The system is all jammed up and deliveries are many days behind. If you're sending payment for something you could end up with a late payment hit.

Amazon came through today. I ordered two cannisters of Charms Sour Balls to surprise my wife. By surprise I mean I was hoping to replace them before she noticed they were gone. The delivery took a lot longer than expected but it arrived today. It was odd that it arrived in a yellow bubble pack envelope way too small for the two cannisters. I opened the bag and this was inside:
attachment.php

After a whispered WTF! I looked it up on Amazon. It's a "PG Air Filter PA5363 | Fits 2004-06 Scion xA, 2004-06 xB, 2000-05 Toyota Echo" but the little tag on the front says it's a "Charms Assorted Sour Balls 12oz Cannister (Pack of 2).

Return process got a little confusing and involved an online Chat. They can't issue a return but they can refund my $9.94. They also gave me a $15.00 credit for an Amazon.com purchase. Bad news is that the Charms price is now $13.88; good news is the 12 oz spray can of Boshield T9 is on its way for $2.12; better news is I don't have to return the air filter. Anyone selling a Scion Xa or Echo (I mean, I have an air filter)?

I had a brand new water pump for a gm 2.2l, that I got in a scrap car, living in a toolbox for 5 or 6 years. My neighbor came over one day, and said his water pump on his S10 went out, and asked if I could give him a ride to the parts house. I told him no, and handed it to him. He asked if I had one of everything.

I bought a C6 corvette shifter assembly from a guy in MI
, he shipped on 12/7. It’s in route. USPS says it will be arriving late. NFS :dunno:

I had four priority mail packages that took almost two weeks to get to the local distribution hub, three were delivered, one sat there for almost another week, said the same thing “arriving late” but it did show up.

Yesterday I got a couple small things done, today is looking like there is a better chance of getting something accomplished, my goal is to get the tail off the hydraulic tail trailer and get it moved out of the way, then I will be able to turn around with Perk and any of the trailers again.

And it looks like there will be more snow over the next couple days, so that *****, but it is winter. :(

We finally got some white stuff, but the Old Mule (the 8n) is still over at my parents house. Needless to say, the drive is a mess.

Snow is almost as much fun as a root canal. Of course today is windy as can be, making it feel much colder than I had originally anticipated, the wind is sucking the motivation out of me. :(

I am moving things around and close to start pulling off hydraulic tail of the trailer, if I can get that done and get the trailer moved, I won't have to do anything for the rest of the year........

Talk about a quick end to what I wanted to do....

Perk has decent batteries, but there is also a draw, I "always" turn them off using the disconnect, well I guess not always. :(

7.8 volts across three batteries, I don't have any spare batteries here, I don't have a big charger either. The booster back won't touch it, I put the float charger on, but that is 8 amps and probably will take a while. Thinking I might take a trip to the SG and pick up my battery charger, probably should be here anyways. Worst part is that the torches are kind of trapped, going to see if I can get them out, can't remove the tail of the trailer without them. Guess I need to make sure the battery disconnect is always switched off when I park.

It's something in the air, blame the atmospheric pressure or something. I went to use the Oxy-acetylene torches today and found I had left them open. No oxygen and very little acetylene.

That *****, I got the torches out and was just about to start cutting, had a phone call that said my studded snow tires were done, but I need to be there before 3PM as they are closing early. I am going to see what I can do in the next hour and a half.
