We had set the lines up for the Tru Hitch as a test, so things are a bit disconnected at this point, so definitely not that easy. I am not sure I am even going to bother at this point, I have some other things that I would like to get done and the snow is supposed to be here much earlier than anticipated. I am not sure I want to waste my effort when my shoulder is the way it is. :(

It is snowing here now, supposed to stop this evening. :( It won't be a huge storm, just light snow for a long time.

We are 7 degrees above average for the year so we have that going for us. Snowing here also but doesn't seem like we are going to get much more than 1/2 an inch. Plus its getting daylight at 6am and its still daylight right now so...

We are definitely on the upside of winter. I don't mind snow as much when we have a 12 hour day and 30 degree plus temps. February is usually my worst month, thankfully it is always the shortest month! ;)

Winter ***** the life out of me most years. I really need to go somewhere else for the winter, somewhere warmer. I don't mind Maine in the spring, summer, and fall, but winter is not my cup of tea. Covid messed up my travel plans this year, hopefully next year will be a bit different, but who knows. :(

According to my wife (she has a PhD in genetics, and has worked in major pharmaceuticals lab) and Doc Fauci, we should reach herd immunity by late next fall, So make your plans for next winter. FWIW, my wife has been pretty accurate in her predictions on this bug.

I suspect that the way things are going, you may have to show a vaccination card to be traveling and I am not sure I am interested in getting vaccinated. I figure the vaccination will either prove itself or the virus will become weaker or both. I am not one for flu shots, they usually mess me up more than when I actually get sick, especially the arm that gets the shot. I am not basing my decision on some conspiracy theory, just my own personal experience, in fact, my GF has already received the first shot, she got one of six doses that were set to expire in her municipality and she happened to be in the building, so she said yes rather than have them toss the dose. She works with kids, so I usually get sick from something she brings home...........

I'm with you on the flu shots. The flu doesn't usually kill, and if I eat enough citrus fruit, I usually stay healthy when the girls bring the flu home. If I get the flu shot (all 3 times), I ended up being fairly sick for a day or two. But this one, I'll be getting. Just like I got the Polio and others.

Luckily for me, I am not in a high risk area, and unless it can be spread through the forum, I generally run with a small crowd. I will keep my fingers crossed for now and I will keep eating my lunch with my dirty greasy hands........

I had my first shot two weeks ago. Had minor muscle pain the day after, OK now. Next one in two weeks.

I am beginning to think that snow removal during the winter is a true sign of insanity. You remove it, it comes back, you remove it, it comes back, all the time you think it will make a difference and it doesn't.........

I hate snow. :(

Just in case you missed it, I still hate snow....

Trying to get a few things shuffled around so I have some space in the shop to work on the 18 speed trans, everything is cold and covered with snow, plus I haven't plowed yet, so it is this fluffy mess everywhere. I hate snow.

I'm not fond of snow.
The fun part of snow was plowing it. Now that I have a dogeater for the Dingo, dogeating it the most fun you can have with snow without a flamethrower. And it's at least twice as fast as the plow.

No blackflies. No mosquitoes. Don't need to mow. I love snow, and don't mind a little plowing and snowblowing.

It's actually (probably) more healthy to view snowplowing as a winter "activity", it's just not as much fun to do when you're not a willing participant. :(

I actually do not have anything more than a shovel, snowblower, and a snow plow. With the terrain I deal with at the Hill, it would be much nicer to have a tractor with a bucket and a snowblower. If I end up at the Hill permanently, I will be working on that exact setup.

Besides, it has nothing to do with removal, it has everything to do with storage, you can run out of room really quickly and moving everything around every time it snows is not fun at all. In the end, I just hate snow.

I like that, I found an old FWD setup that way, but not sure it would be safe around the buildings, rocks would become missiles..........

I never heard the term dog eater before so I googled it... all the first hits were Gravleys! Now I want to dig my LI out of storage and go throw snow over the house!

^x2, on never hearing the term "dogeater" before. I really like it.

I hear you on the shuffling, and I only have to shuffle 8 or 9 vehicles around. I can do the two neighbors driveways and a 1/4 mile of road in less time than it takes to do mine, all because of the shuffling. (comparable lengths)

Yes shuffling to deal with snow is no fun at all.

I have a few errands to do, but looks like I am going to end up at the SG this evening, need to sand blast the bell housing to the 18 speed. The transmission looks worse than it is, a couple hours of cleaning and it will be in great shape. It did come out of a salt truck and there were some seriously rusty brackets, but so far it looks like I need to replace a couple covers, the two air shift valves, rubber lines, and the input bearing/seal. I am going to take the time to remove each bolt and replace them with new non half size ones (rust ate them), then once it gets painted, it will be very nice! I am contemplating painting it white for visibility, but I haven't decided yet. I really want to paint it blue to match the frame.....

I was reading about painting them white to help with under cab visibility while performing future work on the transmission or in that area. I thought it was a neat idea.
