I got the mattress cooler pad setup with the Y connectors that arrived today, so far the pillow and the mattress feel cool. I can see that the mattress cooler is probably a bit too large, they make smaller ones, but they were more money so I bought the larger one to try first. I think in order to make it work, I need to find a good way to attach it, it doesn’t work as well as I would like when you turn from one side to the other. I will report back tomorrow on how I did. The temp is set a bit lower, might have to raise it a touch, the pillow feels too cold.

I have a truck full of Milwaukee m12,m18 and m28. Don't have a corded tool in truck except a hammer drill. Whatever brand you start with, stick with it. Milwaukee fuel stuff rules.

Honestly I think either will work and not let you down. I'd look at the costs and availability of whatever tools you're going to need and decide from there. Also pick up the tools to make sure you don't hate them.

I ended up with Dewalt because I got a better deal. I only wanted a drill/impact and jigsaw. Maybe one day I'll get a router but they seem similar between Milwaukee and Dewalt.

I've been really happy with Hitachi/Metabo stuff. Didn't like Dewalt. Never tried the Milwaukee, so can't speak to that.

This, I have all Ridgid stuff myself but I do have a M12 Fuel drill and it works for the tighter area's that I have. I'll have to get a milwaukee ratchet setup as ridgid doesn't make them but hey I have the batteries and charger for them both.

Mattress cooler? Like water flowing through tubes cooler?
Yes, except this is chambered, so no tubes. My biggest concern is the Cats.......

I did sleep well, set things at 76 degrees and was able to use a blanket. It actually wasn't too bad shifting around, at least not as bad as I initially thought. Last night was still hot and humid inside the house, but nothing like a few weeks back, we are in for cool weather for a bit so it won't be a good test. The fact that I always sleep hot makes me think that this setup will be awesome, I just need to get used to it a bit more, also I think the pillow I have is too tall (tempurpedic), with the cool water it makes the foam harder than it would normally be, so I need something with less structure or shorter height.

I missed this awhile ago while lurking in here, but one other thing you might look at in the future is latex foam mattresses. Still super comfortable like you'd get with memory foam, but they stay much cooler.

This is where I bought the "ooler", I actually bought it with the weighted blanket that cools (I didn't think it was enough). I did need a couple extra parts from them to make my "Y" setup work, I bought a 3' extension hose and an adapter that I didn't need yet, but will use in the future.

Then I bought the pillow pad and mattress pad from amazon, but this is the company. From what I have read, they have a cooler that isn't nearly as good as the "ooler" that I got from the other company.

I will have to do some research on what size I bought, but the connectors all came from McMaster, the two products are not interchangeable, hose sizes are all over the place.

Tonight is cooler than last night by about 8 degrees, so the temperature I had things set to feel much warmer, going to be an interesting time, not too keen on experimenting tonight, I only have a few hours before I have to be back at the camp. 😞

It seems that if I set it for the same temperature it actually was similar feel, so 78 degrees seems good. I had tried setting it lower and I woke up shivering. Sunday is supposed to be hot again, so that should be the next test.

I am waiting for Home Depot to open, need to grab some two cycle oil and then I am meeting my buddy at the camp, he is going to **** up the pile of pine needles, or at least try. I think there are two loads, but we can dump them at the other camp for now.

Yes, time…..

It is also really dry, but mostly about time, the people will be here Friday at noon.

Took about an hour, got all the big stuff dealt with, now I have a few smaller piles of just sticks and then the dust from the sucker. I will have more piles to deal with, I am going to work on the front yard next. Then I have to go back to Home Depot for some plants and a new gas grill, then another buddy is going to help me unload the grill and fix the dock.

Second shift will start when my GF gets here after work tonight, then we are doing the final cleaning. I will have Friday morning for any loose ends.

Are you getting 2nd shift dinner?

She brought her own, she left a bit after 11, I am now at the Hill getting supplies for tomorrow, I didn't have what I needed to get the dock fixed. I also had to grab a portable AC for the Camp, it took all I had to get that thing into the bed of the F-350, those things are ridiculously tall. :(

I am not going to get much sleep tonight. :(

I have a small list of things to do tomorrow, then I am going to keep doing things outside until the tenant arrives, then I can show them a few things.

I am glad we are renting the camp for a month and I am not glad, I had planned on continuing to do some upgrades and that kind of takes away my access. We will see how things go, hopefully we get some feedback and I can adjust as I go. Next year will be much better, there won’t be ten years of leaves and pine needles to deal with. I actually have used almost 2 gallons of mixed gas in the blower, that is a lot of time.

Good luck today. Looks like you didn't get much sleep, so I hope the cooler set-up made it so what you did get was really good.

I slept fine, for all 3.5 hours. :(

I have been to Home Depot and now I have my punch list to get done. I am trying to do things systematically so I don’t have to come back inside the camp once I get dirty.

I do not have any of the larger hammer drills, haven’t had a need yet, I am sure I will end up with one at some point. I am assuming you would be doing some chipping? If so, I would bet that the cordless drills would not be the best option.

1G, I don’t have time to be busy…..

I am assembling cheap solar lights to add to the patio, should make it easier to get around in the dark. I still have to fix the dock, from there, I will continue in with cleaning up the outside space. My bench that I painted isn’t dry yet, kind of *****, I tried to move it and left finger prints…

yard is essentially done, will take a quick pass with the weed whacker, then hit it with the leaf blower. I think everything inside is done. :)

I had to button up the dock, got it done and cleaned up before noon. I still have to wash a couple chairs, clean out the shed, and then blow some more leaves around. I am thinking I may take a nap, then get back to it, probably not, maybe a five hour energy……251CAC81-998F-4C31-A4C5-B12332BB20AC.jpeg6D9B0D01-88E7-4C4D-B696-4A1DBE0CE12F.jpeg87A74A85-F889-4EC6-ABFE-26192D1D191A.jpeg4EDFEFBC-341F-44D5-BC22-266314F536D0.jpeg56C65244-A65E-46BF-B214-5A312F29E00E.jpegF8FDEF3C-C14B-4318-B40B-943CA9C700B9.jpeg

I'd rather give you a knuckle boom, although to be honest, I wouldn't have a use for a Lista cabinet. Nice weld on the dock. But if you want a real pick me up, do a Linc 5hr Energy Bomb. Drop one of them into a cup of strong, black coffee.

I don’t think I could do that, my heart would explode!

Just leaving now, had to do a few more things and then take some measurements, we are going to add 20’ to the current dock, I have to pick up the parts tomorrow. Will install on Monday, I need to find my water shoes, lots of things in the mud that don’t feel nice on my bare feet.

I was at my aunts lake cabin in Maine when I was younger and sliced my big toe wide open on some sort of clam.
