You really won’t see the wall enough for me to care, besides it is a working space, well it might be someday.
My ex-wife used the garage walls to practice her "stenciling". She needed the practice before she stenciled wisteria vines around the bedroom. Bedroom turned out nice and the garage never got painted over, but it was pretty...

Long time listener, first time caller here.... I've enjoyed this thread for a long time, I never expected grapevine stenciling talk though...:willy_nil

Strouty, I'd think adjusting the shifter would be far easier on that nice lift instead of using a fork truck ;)

It would have been, except I was at the Salvage Garage and it doesn't have a lift, I used the forklift to bring it inside, we actually used a jack to put it on jack stands.

Today I managed to clean up both sides of the shop at the Hill, then we got both of the tires pulled apart and off the rims completely (the ones that gave me so much trouble Saturday?), it was a good day indeed. I should do some more, but I am kind of beat and tomorrow will be a busy day for certain.

Normally this would probably work great to break the bead, but the one inch thick rubber ring really held up the process, we even poured tire lube into the bead while it was pulled away. This was repeated five more times, turning the tire a bit each time to try and loosen everything.

In the end, I had to use the torch to heat the ring, all the way around, you can see the black marks where I burned off the paint. The rings were rusted to the rim and that was the problem all along.

The lift bay at the Hill is usable!!!!

Had to shuffle things over to the other side, but almost everything is easily moved by pallet jack or there are already wheels under the stuff.

The Wall of Lista is complete!!! Not really, but I had to put these somewhere for now. ;)

There have been more posts about stencils and decorating, what gives? This isn't HGTV you know????

;)
I was trying to be funny about adding more onto your plate when you are just cresting the top of the hill. How the hell that grew legs and turned into this is beyond me but sure is great for laughs.

I don’t think for one second that Strouty would consider doing any of the stenciling or even painting the walls as much as he has to do, but it was funny.......

I am going to have to do a bit of work, there is some water damage and I added a few holes when removing the old 2x4s. I am also thinking about boxing in the plumbing and insulating it, especially the hot water line. Then there is the ceiling that needs some patching as well, one area has seen some water damage from the old door to the upper office, the other area is around all the plumbing, we had to do some cutting to get to the pipes and we may have to do some more to finish the running the PEX. The other side just has a couple small holes that I will probably patch, but there won’t be any stenciling, I can promise that. ;)

Strouty, I love your bead breaker. It must be great feeling to the lift bay usable. I wish I could get my shop that clean. Heck I'm so busy and tired, I can't even get around to updating my thread.

Yup, the bead breaker is the all hydraulic National N95 model, it slices, it dices, it tries to break beads….

I also hear you on being tired, I wish I could take a breather for a couple days, but it looks like the next six days are pretty well overflowing. I am seeing a small bit of light at the end of the tunnel, well, it could be midway, but at least I think I am going the proper direction. ;)

Today the small light was an LED that we switched in with the remote, of course all the analog input outputs are designed for some weird valve, in the neutral position they put out 12 volts then all the way down is 6 volts, all the way up is 18 volts, but they only handle 20 milliamps, so we either need some super sensitive relay system or the valves need to be special ones. I don’t completely understand, but I am sure it won’t be cheap. :(

To make matters worse, we did something and the relay stopped outputting any voltage, the relay is 5 amps, so the LED shouldn’t have made it angry, I even swapped in another relay and it still put out no voltage. Go figure.

My Brother is buying a truck in Long Island, so I am going with him to pick it up, going to be a mercy mission all day affair. We are taking the ferry from Bridgeport, Connecticut to try and avoid traffic. I get to drive the big truck since he doesn’t actually have his license for it. Should be interesting, not sure if it will be a handful on the road or not, it is 4x4, the same size as Buck (33k GVW), also don’t know how fast (or slow) it will go, so it could be a long ride home.

I just took the Bridgeport to Port Jefferson ferry last March to look at a car ( I ended up buying it). I Had to fly into CT from Colorado ( thanks cuomo). Anywho, beat the rush & get up to the galley deck ASAP and order up a breakfast sandwich. On the way back, same thing goes for a burger and a beer. Top deck should be a bit nicer than last March. Safe travels!

It is hot and sticky, we should be set for the 9:30 ferry, just missed the earlier one. I feel this will still be better than sitting in traffic.

Doesn't look any heavier duty than the Perk. If it's not an upgrade, why want it?
Did you bump your head and forget what thread you're in? He could go the length of a football field just parking his 'burb's front to back.
