I am not into having help when I am not ready for it. I tell him to be at the Hill at 9 and I can barely get there by 9 myself, too much going on for sure. Tomorrow he isn’t available, I may be able to get him under the house to clean the dirt off the ledge, on Thursday. The worst part for me is that I am very smell sensitive and this kid doesn’t wash his clothes at all, he is wearing the same sweaty dirty clothes that he had on last week because “no one did his laundry” for him. It is making me sick to my stomach and he just thinks it is funny. Apparently he has no shame, because I have tried to shame him for it. It isn’t like he doesn’t shower, he just wears the same clothes over and over. I think I only want a helper once a week, my other “help” is more capable and I more or less work with them, so that is fine almost anytime.

I am also totally expecting to come back to a floor covered with black rust oleum paint, even though I bought him a drop cloth, but I need to get some 4” PVC so I can make some storage racks for my pex tubing. I am going to setup a couple sections so I can store 20’ pieces easier.

I told my helper to use the string trimmer to clear out the backside of the stone wall, instead he got the one with the blade and took out all the high bush blueberries. :(
Guilty as charged. Now I get the equipment, ask Robin to show me exactly where she wants "it" done. Took out half her strawberries one year. Felt like a total **** munch over that one. Still do.

I just spent some time wandering around at the Salvage Garage, bad idea, now my head hurts......

There is way more stuff than I even remembered and I remembered a lot. ;) I am trying to see a path forward, but I have things fairly well plugged up. My Brother is supposed to come over tomorrow and retrieve a dump body from the back forty, that will help a bit, that way I can start shuffling things and not have to worry about blocking something that is needed sooner rather than later. I have to get a few things unloaded from the blue gooseneck trailer, I would like to list it for sale soon. Also need to list the 5 ton army tractor for sale, then there is the camper, the mortar mixer, the C-70 crane, the red tag trailer, and the list goes on and on. I think I could spend all fall selling things and not make a dent in the place overall. I hope to have things for the fall auction, if it still happens.

How many "matchboxes" or hot wheels did you have as a kid? Might have been before your time.
I used to get 50 cents a week allowance, that would buy 1 matchbox toy. I had a hell of a fleet and most of them ran perfectly 😆

The GI Joe folks actually made one version with the ‘Steadicam Gunner’ for a short time. Collectible for sure but it landed them in court when Garret Brown, the inventor and patent holder forced them to stop. They still pop up on eBay from time to time.

My brother had tons of GI Joes. I had a bunch of Nylint and Ertl trucks. Well actually he had my truck too since he is 12 years younger than me.

Matchbox and Hot Wheels, still have. One GJ Joe, still have. Models, a couple still have.

Strouty thanks for the tip on Zoro having those flammable cabinet shelves. I have two on the way.

Glad to help Shorty, I was surprised how inexpensive they were, definitely not worth making them unless you already have all the material, a sheet metal brake, and some time.
