I would like to build a Murphy bed for the SG, at the Hill, I technically have an entire house, just need to get a bed up there and a little space. I suspect that things will start coming together this fall, progress will be very visible, even to me. I am currently still trying to get up the hill, so to speak, after that there will be some coasting, but I am sure I will have to make some stops to adjust the brakes on the way down. ;)

Somehow in my little brain if I'm "resting" in the shop in a life sucking layzboy vs. laying in an actual bed (during daylight hours and good weather) and my boots are still on, I don't quite have the same self imposed guilt. 🤪

I haven’t found a recliner that allows me to rest like a bed/couch can. I usually wake up from a recliner “rest” feeling worse than I started. :(

I am back at the SG, going to do a few light duty tasks, I also had to restock my snack and drink selection, I may hit the grocery store one more time, but for the Hill, I knew I should have bought more waters and stuff, I can do that on my way home, so no big deal. The next couple days are supposed to be as warm or warmer, maybe even 80s on Saturday, it was a solid 75 today. That slowed me down a bit too.

I had to place one more order to get the the hose reels setup at the Salvage Garage, once those parts are in, then I won't need to monkey with the setup again. I will be able to use it as is, just wanted it to be setup nicer than it is currently. I am headed to get some more hunger supplies, then home for the night.

My back needs to be almost horizontal to have any sort of relief. What is most likely killing me is being on my feet for too many hours of the day right now. I used to do this weird sleep cycle thing, I would sleep 4 hours a night and then 15 minutes every four hours, it was awesome having that much time to do stuff, but it pounded my back way too much. I could do it for about a month, then I would end up having to back off and get some serious horizontal time. That was also 20 years ago, so it is worse now.

I think anytime it gets over 70 it is hot.

Luckily I am not waiting on anyone, that always seems to make things worse.

I have already been to Home Depot to do some returns and purchases, I was eyeballing the M18 Milwaukee mower, I need a new mower for the Lake and I would like something that I can bring with me in the Blurb, not needing gas is nice, plus no spilling or smelling. It has either great reviews or terrible reviews, kind of like you get a good one or you have problems. I have been holding out hopes that they offer a mower that takes the MX batteries (much larger), but who knows how long that will be.

I will have some time to think about it, good part is that it will give me another two 12.0 batteries, those are pretty nice and they run $250 a pop.

It really isn’t too much more than a decent gas mower, about $600 is the batteries and the charger and I can use those for other tools. My main goal is not to have to worry about gas in the Burbs, I rarely have a pickup truck or trailer, so it is almost always inside the cab with me.

Then all you have to worry about is the wet grass and moldy smell. LOL I wonder how much lawn one of those would mow.
Acre wise??
They say it will mow for 50 to 60 minutes, good enough for what I need to do. It should clean up well, plastic housing and all.

It is steel, with aluminum sides that fold down.

I don't have a plan for today.....
Firstram- exactly.
Strouty- today is the first day I've been able to log in and look at ANYTHING up here. Man for someone with "no plan" you get more done in your time than I can get accomplished in a week.
My work duties are keeping more and more of time away from things I love.
That said. I'm going to start a thread this weekend with some pictures/stuff to show you guys what I am doing.

Have you thought of just buying a $75 good used mower and leaving it at the lakehouse?

Alright, let’s just get this over with, I am a Milwaukee fanboy and I just want the mower. I don’t really have a valid excuse or reason, I just want it and I can afford it, so I bought it. I do need to test it out, probably do that tomorrow. I know it seems like a waste to some, but it is my vice.
Fair enough, you do have an impressive collection of Milwaukee tools. Sorry wasnt trying to tell you how to spend your money. lol

It is in a big box in the back of the Blurb. I am headed over to the SG, it looks like we may get some rain over the next couple days so I have a few things that need to be put away. I should be able to test it this afternoon.

I bought 2 Honda 2200's a few years ago and a friend of mine started giving me a hard time about it. He knew I already owned a 2k for back up power at home and really only need 1 at work and felt like I was wasting my money. I want a back up for the back up or the ability to tether after a hurricane. It took me telling him to **** off before he'd drop it, haters gonna hate!

It is tough, I have a friend that will do that, then he will want me to buy some random thing, when I don't he acts like I pissed in his cheerios. I have learned long ago, you can't win, so don't try, sometimes it is really hard not to defend yourself though.

It is already mid 80s here and we are going to make a run for 90, I am not really ready for it, luckily the temps look like they are going to be in the upper 60s next week, that I can live and work with.

I am at the Salvage Garage now, prepping things for rain, not sure how long I will be here, I was going to try and work on the shelving, but it is pretty warm in the Mayflower trailer right now. Might have to do that tomorrow, I can set things up so I can be inside the trailer with everything I need to complete the job, rain or shine. I guess if I prep it for that it isn't really a big deal if it doesn't happen, I needed to get all the wood under cover anyways.

It is nice and cool in the SG right now, 63 degrees, it usually takes a week of high temps before the heat soaks through. I may hang here for a while and play hooky from the heat....

I unboxed the mower, one thing I hadn't banked on was that the mower deck isn't plastic, it isn't aluminum, it is just steel. Not sure I like that, it is not light by any means, I think with the batteries in it, weight would be similar to a gas powered unit. Performance will make or break the deal, but they really screwed up, I would have preferred to pay more to have a lighter aluminum or composite deck that wouldn't be subject to rust. The batteries are charging, not really any grass over here, but when I get to a place where there is grass, I will do a bit of testing. I will say that besides the deck being steel, the build quality seems right up there with a nice gas powered mower. It does fold up nice and storage will be nice, it stands up on its end, so very minimal footprint.

It is cooking outside, I am not thrilled with the heat, almost as much as snow. Regardless, I am plugging along, didn't really plan on getting much done, more about doing what I can, still trying to take it easy, putting the tires away will be the end of that....
