Chuck time, seems to have no limits, lunch is now a two plus hour ordeal. After eating and getting some outside time, he wants to sleep, but only on my arm. I am hopeful that this is just for the warmth and a small heating pad can make it so he will sleep in his cage. I just got him to settle down and lunch was at about 1 PM, two hours and twenty minutes.

Today has been almost a nothing day, I “fixed” the leaky kitchen sink faucet, even used delta parts, now when you turn it off it drips for about 5 minutes, then stops. I guess if it stops, that is better than never stopping. I think saved the original ball portion of the valve, it is solid brass, versus the new hollow steel one. I am thinking that I will take it apart one more time and try using the original part with all the replacement seats and o-rings.

I now need to get ready to go to the Camp so we can do some clean up, probably will feel like a full days work when I am done. One good thing, the new bottles showed up for Chuck, luckily the ******* I had been using will work with these bottles, otherwise they would probably be terrible, after the hybrid mods, they are perfect.

Well, Chuck is really getting rambunctious, tonight he ate some, but not as much as I expected him to eat, that was at 10 PM, he has just settled down. He is sleeping in my sweatshirt pocket right now, I am hoping he will go to sleep in the cage soon, so I can get some sleep.

He also has a new game he plays, it is a bit nerve wracking on my end, basically he wants to rough house, he essentially bites my finger (relatively gently), then he tugs while rolling around, flailing his legs around while he is on his back.

Except for the part where he keeps me up half the night. The little ****** would not settle, he finally went to sleep around 3 AM, he is still sleeping now. I hope I can figure out a way to get him to sleep again. I am going to try and feed him, then give home a bath, he seems to go to sleep after that, haven’t tried it in the evening though.

My pieces and parts for the trailer and Perk are trickling in, looks like everything will be here by Thursday, wish I had everything sooner, got to be patient now. Of course Thursday and Friday may be rain, so I have to kind of work around that. Right now I need to make Chuck’s smoothie for the day, then take a shower before the monster is too awake.

I fed Chuck, then gave him a bath, he is still sleeping now, but I suspect he will be interested in lunch sooner rather than later. I am going to let him sleep and try to get a couple things done in preparation for having help tomorrow. I have to move a trailer and clear some space so we can have a nice place to work, going to be removing all the tires and rims from OMO (big fire truck) and at least the rears from Perk, I am still waiting for some more wheel studs to show up before I can replace all of them. Then I am headed to the Camp to try and get the rest of the leaves and dirt cleaned up, might even get to do some mowing.

After loading up what I need to bring, I don't have room for the mower, I really don't want to bring the trailer, so I will have to see if I can move stuff around enough to make it fit. Everything is bulky and I don't want to have to unload the dump trailer just so I can bring the mower up to the lake today.......

Got some of the leaves and pine needles sucked up and into the trailer, my Buddy will probably have to deal with another three loads total. Hopefully it will be a bit less to deal with every year, we should do a fall clean up as well, depends on timing. Longest amount of daylight for the year and I still ran out, just needed a few more hours.

Chuck ate and now appears to be settling down, I am going to take a shower, I have pieces of leaves and pine needles everywhere, mixed with dirt and sweat, I feel yucky. Tomorrow will be a busy day, going to be making things happen, not sure what yet, but something is going to happen.

Chuck ate at 3 AM, then he wrestled with my hand for about 40 minutes, looks like he is now back to sleep. I am going to try and get some rest before my day starts.

I am sorry to hear that, it *****, although it probably wouldn’t be as bad if I didn’t work until 9:30 at night. Things at the Camp (s) are progressing, I still have to swap out a refrigerator and a microwave at the rental, the rest is just landscaping and cleaning things up. One more dock to install too, going to try and get that in before the fourth.

Wheels and tires are being swapped around, you guys are way too inventive....

The Camps are two abutting properties that our company purchased to "rent", except one is essentially my Dad and Stepmother's Camp, the other is the rental.

We have the rear tires swapped over, working on the hood now, we got the remit figured out for the knuckle boom, ended up being a corroded battery tab. The hood should be on and then we will work on the front tires, have to change out the studs for those to work.

Looks like you've been blessed with an absolutely beautiful day for the swap. May be that the good Lord is thanking you for taking such good care of his little orphan. Truck looks great.

Just finished up most of the wheel swap, there were some issues, but luckily I have a hoarding problem, so a trip to the Salvage Garage fixed everything. I will post some pictures tomorrow.

Just to warn everyone, the orange hood will be a feature for a while, I don’t have time to paint it and I still have work to do on the fiberglass and grill.

I once had a great-uncle who drove a ‘65 ford stepside (I think). Over the decades he had repaired it so often from junkyard parts that there wasn’t an original part on the truck except the frame. Every panel on that truck was a different color. Everyone from Florida to Quebec City would see that truck and exclaim “Here comes Roland in the Rainbow ! ”.

Last night the wheels from the front of OMO were hitting the tie rod and wouldn’t spin. I had to dismount them and then remount them on some of my hoarded rims. It was worth it, once I get the fender flares on, the front will look tough. I will post some daylight pics when I get back to the Hill, this morning I have laundry and some paperwork to do while I wait for UPS to show up with the rest of my parts.

The flares are almost not wide enough, they do cover the tread portion of the tire, but not the sidewall. I will have to look at my Dad’s truck, he has the same tires, he could have a slightly different offset, seems that his flares were wider though. Research needs to be done.
