Impala, I am always up for new things, I am going to try one and see what happens, I haven’t seen those before.
I am over at the Salvage Garage now, big storm coming through, just waiting to lose power, that would ****. I am going to try and replace the glass in the sandblast cabinet, then get a few parts sandblasted. I have a billion things to do, just starting one at a time hoping that things don't escalate too quickly......
I can buy a piece of plate glass for $24 (home depot), I get four pieces out of it. The glass gets pretty etched up after three or four hours use. From my past experience the films are a PITA to deal with and I wasted more than I used. Maybe if I setup an air nozzle that blows across the window when the foot pedal is depressed, it would help keep it cleaner longer, I also wondered if tempered glass would hold up better. I picked up some paint stripper to try and deal with at least some of the paint off the remaining parts first, otherwise I probably have another three hours of blasting to get the last seven parts cleaned up.
I will be aware of that, these parts are just a PITA, they have all kinds of nooks and crannies, so it isn't easy to get a wire wheel into either. Blasting definitely works, it is just time consuming, I wanted to try the paint stripper anyways, so I figure this is a good opportunity, err, excuse.
I remove paint off vintage tools by soaking overnight in 100% Simple Green. Simple, non-toxic and really works great the paint just rinses off if there is any still on the part after soaking.

Even real automotive type paint?
I blasted a couple more, I changed the media to some 30/60 garnet, cleaned the filter, adjusting a few other things, still slow going. I am bringing the parts to the Hill, the SG has no running water, so cleanup would be a chore. I will have to try the simple green.
Some of the paint stripper I bought was a liquid, I figured I would soak the parts in it for a while, they say 15 minutes, I say no effing way. I just got home, made new smoothie, picked some clover and pea shoots, preparing for his Majesty's wake up.
You sound just like my old boss. He had his jaw broken and reconstructed and wired shut for 6 weeks. Looked like a different man when done.I am heavier, but I had issues even when I was at 3% body fat, I just have a terrible airway. They took my tonsils out and trimmed the uvula, it helped but not enough. From what I have found, the only way to fix my issue would be to rebuild my jaw. The dental implant essentially mimics this, but it puts so much strain on my teeth that they have permanently moved, I now have gaps in my molars that weren’t there before, it changed my bite too, the dentist didn’t like what was happening, so I stopped using it.
I've made stripper before using a few household chemicals and lye. Works decent and CHEAP.I have found that most paint strippers are made for easy-to-remove house paint. A good automotive paint will just laugh at them.
I have tried a bunch of different stuff and only Klean Strip Aircraft Remover worked well for me on automotive paint - https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...hHYYT1SE-6jz2w3niAxoCwnUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
It's really nasty stuff, so wear thick gloves and try not to get it on your skin. They make a liquid as well, but that didn't work as well, and I've tried it several times. Not sure why.

Oh, we thought that was pictures of you trying to wake up.Chuck was up at about 5, he foraged around for a while, then I fed him 2 smoothies, he was really mad when I put him back in the cage without another bottle. He ate some clover through the cage door and then I put a handful of fresh stuff in the top and bottom areas, he ate that for a little bit, now he is settling down for a little more rest. Yesterday I gave him a new bed, he doesn’t really know how to use it yet, but he was playing with it for a while. He would flip it upside down, then drag it around and attack it from underneath.
