Still going, luckily the GF could feed his majesty. I have a few more loads to haul, then I have to go to the camp and get the trash from last week’s tenants. Then I can deal with Chuck when I get home.

Strouty - how big is Chuck? Is he close to full-grown? Any pictures of him next to something for scale - a beer bottle or similar?

I have no clue how long it takes before they are “full size”, but Chuck is no where near as big as a regular woodchuck. He is about the size of a 3 or 4 month old kitten, I do need to weigh him, I would guestimate that he is about 5 pounds. He is very solid and rugged feeling. For right now this is the best picture I have to compare him to something normal.

Well Strouty You have a full 10 subscribers now and you were my first ever on YouTube! I don't do comments there (yet?~) [After I watched the "Army Dump Vid] As for the whole "Sleep Apnea" I have been tested a couple of times once was a No and once a Yes, so I questioned the doctor (no he wasn't very happy with this) I had 4.9 "events" on the first test and 5.2 "events" on the second 5 being the threshold for a +ve, I also had a hellacious cold and was coughing/gaging from the flehm build up all night, hence my belief in the rise of the number [of 0.3 events/hr.] I believe the 5 permitted events would be "normal swallowing throughout the night" my doctors send [or try to send] me all the time, but with a CDL that would complicate things here for sure, I have a mild dairy allergy and therefore my sinuses are on "Full ATTACK mode" all the time. With a 19" neck that sets off all kinds of alarm bells off for them as well, but my neck is solid [poor thing supports a 3X head so it wasn't going to be a 15 regular anyway you slice it!] a fat neck is what contributes to "obstructed sleep apnea" is my understanding. If I am ever forced to another study I will read all the labels for about 3 weeks (searching for dairy ingredients) and abstain from food with flavour before hand so I can deliver a score of 3, but I'll fight that test for as long as possible, I plan to take over the "Fitbit" that I bought the wife [that she doesn't use and also needs for a self sleep study] and track what my sleep issues are and then set about figuring out the triggers of said sleep disturbers. Good luck with your pet "Prince Charles" Harry

Strouty, when did you start doing vids on YT? I know i was shocked how many views i had for one of my stupid vids, i would imagine you'd get a lot of views if you started doing them.

Harry, sounds like your doctor would recommend a seeing eye dog after a 20/25 vision test. Mine was 24 episodes sleeping on my side and 72 on my back. Blood oxygen level dipped into the 70s. The CPAP keeps me below 2 episodes per hour and mid-90s blood oxygen. I can also sleep on my back (for the first time in 50 years). I enjoyed snorkeling the reefs in Florida so the CPAP mask is no big deal unless the hose disconnects or the mask doesn't seal properly -- the noise wakes me up.

You are picking up what I'm laying down there Bob! I could never wear all of that to sleep, and if doctors engaged in meaningful discussions with their patients and knew which questions to ask I would not have had/needed the tests! Sinus congestion from a food allergy isn't going to be fixed with a mask and a fan! I'm Not a Doctor but a slow 3rd grader should be able to figure that out. Oooops socially unacceptable reference back there sorry to those who would be offended. Harry

With DOT, I have to update my medical card every year, they need to see that I get at least 5 hours of usage of the CPAP for 80% (I think) of the time. I also have about a 19” neck, I think they consider 17” and up a “risk factor”.

86, I just started posting a couple here and there, I have to get into editing for sure. I will continue to post some raw videos here and there, but I am not sure I can handle the responsibility of an actual channel.

The Fitbit has been a little bit of help with my sleep pattern, and trying to get a decent night's sleep. My O2 level was 93 last night (good?). It shows when, and how long I'm awake. It also helped me realize a settled mind is a huge impact on my sleep. I notice when I get over a sleep score over 80 and close to 7 hours of sleep, I feel pretty good that day. Less, and my **** is dragging. I definitely recommend wearing one.

I took another picture of Chuck with a gallon jug, this is probably a better size comparison, he is about the size of a big ferret, except he has a bigger head. He has also become the world’s biggest brat when it comes to the smoothies, if he hasn’t had enough, he will actually bark and squawk at you, then lunge and nip at you. He is not happy about only two bottle that is for sure.

Today’s drama is that my Dad has bought a boat (another one), one without a trailer, it is in Martha’s Vineyard and he says I have to go and get it. I just got done telling him that I have no time to do anything and that is essentially how he responds. Everyone else told him no, but I am stuck, so I will have to make time to do it. Oh, and the best part, he bought the boat because it was cheap and he is going to resell it to make money. :( FML

I still have to get the New York loader, just have a couple more things to deal with before I go on that trip.

All my parts for the Cat V80 forklift arrived, so now the emergency brake can be fixed, that will make it work much better, currently it likes to roll away and you have to chock the wheels or leave it in gear (auto trans). Not fun when you are alone.

From what i can tell, it grows organically based on how interesting the content. Cultivated channels seem to grow a lot faster. I know there's a lot of income potential there, but not sure anyone would tune into my ugly mug! Ha!

Unfortunately I am actually not his son, I am an indentured servant and I have several more years to go before I am released. As my Brother and I say, my Dad has always had a favorite son, it has just never been either of us. He usually picks some employee or someone else like that, his current favorite is my Buddy that helps me with my repairs, it is very frustrating from both a family and business standpoint. I generally get blamed for anything that goes wrong, regardless of if I had a hand in it, and now with Dad having memory issues it is substantially worse for me.

You got any details on the boat? Is it a rowboat? A yacht? Something in between?

Something like 20’ Boston Whaler Dauntless, think it is a 2004 vintage, he said it was half the price of all the other ones he was looking at, still not sure why he was even looking, but he says he will sell it for profit. Famous last words.

I tricked Chuck into thinking he was having three smoothies, but it was really 2 1/2 evenly distributed between the three bottles. For his morning smoothie, I took the last two full bottles, split it into three, then added water to top them off, we will see how that goes. Apparently he likes brown eyed Susan flowers and leaves, we have a lot of those in the back yard. I also got a delivery of seeds for red clover, we are going to plant some and see how quick it grows.

Makes sense, I usually grab him by the scruff of the neck and when he squeaks I let him go, but I will have to try the nose. He really only pulls this with feeding, so it is a new behavior to me.

At least a Whaler is regarded as a good boat and quite popular in the area. But I doubt I'd buy one sight unseen.

When he told me he was buying it to resell, I almost couldn’t believe it. Especially since it doesn’t even have a trailer.

He said he is paying half price, but the boat has no trailer and it has a not so great outboard, I suspect by the time you find a trailer and a decent outboard, it would be full price. He has not asked me for any money, yet, so at least that is a plus.

Based on your statements, i wouldn't even put it past him to leave you out of the will. Geez, what a crappy situation. Sorry man.

He and his Dad had a similar relationship, so I can see how things will most likely transpire. Dad has said he now wants to get a written agreement for the Hill, so maybe that will happen, I know that if I write it, it will legally stick. One less future headache, but I need to get his wife to sign it as well, then there won't be any shenanigans later on.

I am slowly proceeding with everything at a snail's pace (extra slow). At this point I am going to concentrate on the things I need done before it snows. If I start now I should be ready by Christmas........

If you get it done before Christmas, you're moving a lot faster than I am. Knowing where the dad issue comes from probably helps a little, but very little.

It isn’t going to get any better, that is for sure, I would like to get my end squared away and then go from there, I feel like I will be running his business until he sells all the towers or dies. We have two more years before he can start selling big assets, after that, all bets are off.

I had “fixed” Chuck’s hammock, well he actually pulled so hard that the clips spread and the hammock came down again. I replaced the hooks with a quick link, now I want to see what he will do next.

The heat and the fact that I am tired has seriously slowed me to a crawl, not sure if tonight will be productive at all.

I hear you on the heat. I've needed to mow the grass. I started with the smallest patch (between the Duck Haus and the shop), and getting that done gave me just enough motivation to do the next patch and so on, until I had it all mowed. But getting the mower started was almost too much.

Tonight I just reworked the rope pulls on the two overhead doors at the shop on the Hill. One rope kept getting hung up on the bottom of the door track, then the door would stop and go back down a bit, just the right height to smack you in the head. The other door, the rope would get wet and tangle on the scrap steel. Now both doors have a rope that won’t actually touch the floor and I can still reach them to pull the doors down. I am going to have to do the same over at the Salvage Garage. Of course in the process I burnt the back of my hand, I was melting the ends of the rope, got a bit carried away and flames were going, instinct was to shake the it to put the fire out. Luckily it was just the back of my hand and not my face. Had to scrape out the melted rope bits, felt great. :(

BTDT - I don’t shake the flames out, I blow them out. BUT ……. I’ll squeeze the hot end together to set it and always burn my fingers. You’d think that after all these decades, I’d learn my lesson, but no, I still keep doing it.

Unless he paid ‘too much,’ the outcome should be positive. Boston Whaler boats command a premium that varies with location and condition, like many items, but given their design and construction methods and materials, the numbers are higher than most other similar boats. Some western U.S. areas have crazy high prices. They have always had a strong fan base here in New England. I’ve been a Whaler nut my whole life so feel free to send questions my way.

I was tired, I was on a step ladder, and I had too many things in my hands, I just reacted (poorly). Luckily there is no major damage, looks like I got all the melted bits out, no inflammation or anything this morning, actually feels fine considering.

As for the boat, I really don’t have a feel for if he overpaid or not, I have only seen one picture of it, so until it is brought back and gone through, well it is just a stupid boat purchase, aren’t all boats described that way? No, that’s right, it is a hole in the water that you through money into.
