"Hey buddy, do I have a deal for you" lol
Well, at 52, back home on the farm for around 20 years, the best tools I have ever owned were either HF or Ryobi.
The latter is great- for a lot of things. But as I get more involved with working on projects around fourth generation farm, believe me, I needed to step things up.

Best hold on to that right angle drill if you keep it. If it fetches up while using it, be prepared, it can twist you up like pretzel :)

So, older circular saw and a magnum hole shooter for $15+ a $1.50 premium, second lot I won is a magnum hole hawg, a 9" grinder and a big old hairy right angle drill that I will probably sell- got that one for $35 and a $3.50 premium- pick that all up tomorrow. Will post pics, they look like they need cleaning...
I've had a Milwaukee angle drill for years. Great for drilling holes for plumbing. But as mentioned above, you need to be ready for it to bind up & twist violently. It's best to rest it against a stud or joist. When I loan it to guys on a jobsite, I tell them "it'll knock you off the ladder". Many of them have told me later "yeah, it knocked me off the ladder".

The right angle gearset is designed for two speeds. Unbolt it & flip it over to change to the other speed. I always leave mine set on the low speed so it has more torque for large diameter self feeding bits.

The gate needs to be made, that will make the biggest dent right now, then the FL106 truck chassis inside the SG needs to become just an engine cradle/run stand. I have to do some shuffling at the Hill now, but with the latest snow it makes things a lot more interesting, but in a mostly bad way. Tomorrow I need to get the jack welded onto the trailer and then move the propane tank down to the tower site, Sunday is already dedicated to moving some things at the Camp with the tenant, we are taking an old oil tank out from part of the house so he can use the space for cold storage. I am sure there are other things that will need to be done, so who knows what I will actually get done this weekend. Right now I have to finish installing snow tires on the Blurb, one of them had a leak around the valve stem, so I had to take it to my Buddy's shop to fix it, I can't wait until I buy a rim clamp, I bought his old tire balancer, so I am all set with that end. That is one more thing on my list of things.......

Late start today, hopefully I can at least be productive, that would be nice. It is going to be in the 40s today, but the snow really messes with things, I have to see if the tire chains will fit Perk's larger rear tires, if not it will be a white knuckle ride down the Hill.

I have everything for the trailer figured out, now I just need to drill a bunch of holes and my mag drill is over at the Salvage Garage, might have to use the trailer today, then bring it back inside one more time to get the jack installed. I don’t think I have time to do it any other way at this point. If my elbow wasn’t hurting, I would just use my regular drill, but I will have repercussions from that for sure.

I am making the jack bolt on, this will make replacing it easier. I also need to find a box for storage to install on the tongue. I don’t think I have anything that will work, so it will most likely be a new purchase, may have to wait a couple weeks before my wallet can handle it, I just ordered the new couplers, even with discounts it was still over $300, on top of my new culverts and having to rent an excavator, there will be a few thousand of unplanned expenses after my already unplanned gravel expenses. I really need to get that gate done and installed then I can bill for it.

I got the angle iron pieces welded to the jack, once I have the mag drill, I will easily be able to pop four holes in there. I am installing pieces of pipe in the middle of the tube on the trailer so that the bolts can be tightened without distorting the box tube, it will take a little longer, but I want to do it right. I can weld one more piece up, then I have to measure for the pieces of pipe, I don’t dare install those until I have my holes drilled, that way things will line up better.

Good to see Perk making it happen!!

Any update on the hydraulic cylinder for the excavator?

Not to poke a sore subject, but how's the hand digging going with all the utility lines? What is the soil type?

The Pennsylvania clay is a ****** to dig... Hence the only thing better than my current bobcat 320 would be a new(er) mini ex! LoL 😂

Perk is going to be the little one, it is very maneuverable since it is a single axle and not too heavy with the smaller boom. I can't wait until I build the bigger one, then I can actually lift big things.....

I have someone taking the cylinder apart, I haven't checked in with them, they just got it Thursday. Hopefully it will be done sooner rather than later, I don't want to have to rent an excavator.....

And the house furnace (oil fired) is having the same problem it had last year, it randomly quits with some no flame alert. I remember the furnace company that cleaned it also replaced the transformer, we had the same issue, then they told us it was our house wiring, but the electrician said there was no issue, so I replaced the transformer as well thinking we had a bad one out of the box, no go. Cad cell was replaced, twice, nothing seems to be wrong right up until it quits. Usually it is just a matter of doing a reset, then it will be fine for a while. I need to figure it out so that we don't lose heat. It just doesn't make sense and I don't want to pay for someone to throw parts at it, then point the finger at something else when they can't figure it out. I can do that all on my own, for free.......

I was up early, then I felt like going back to sleep, now I really feel that way, my GF said she needed to be in the shower at 6:30, so I was out at 6:15, then she tells me she doesn't need to be in there until 8, I would have slept an extra hour for sure. :(

The house on the Hill will have two for sure. I hope to have movement on the deal with my Dad in the next couple months, if it isn’t going to work out, then all the stuff will get used at the current house instead.

The new generator is in place, now we have to wait for gas and electric to be done, then we can officially swap over. At least one hurdle has been cleared. I am working on the spacers or risers for the propane tank now. The gas guy may come over and get his parts list together this afternoon.
