That carrier looks like it'll help a ton. With as much as you have going, can't you farm out the Volvo, and leave the carrier as is?

When you fold the carrier up, it completely blocks the passenger side tail light, completely.....

It also doesn't tilt down or up without some effort on my part, if I adjust where the pivot is, it makes both these problems go away. It is either that or add lights and I think it will be better to adjust the pivot. Farming out the volvo would be too much money, making it not worth it, once I have all the parts, it should only take a day to do what needs to be done to find out if the engine needs to be replaced or not. If it needs to be replaced, then I have to decide what I am going to do, regardless the GF is buying a new car and this will become the spare for both of us.

Most things these days are either do it yourself or not worth doing, between the fact that parts and labor are crazy and people either don't know what they are doing or don't care. All I need is a couple years off and I should be able to catch up, maybe.

Our 10-day looked like yours, a couple days ago. Since then the temps have been changed to be about 5° higher. Still a nice cold snap. We really need it to be a couple weeks to help kill off some of the vermin and insects.

I got almost all the snow at the house cleaned up, tomorrow morning I will be able to finish it, then I have to clean up at the Hill, the area in front of the wood shop. After that, things can freeze up and I should be somewhat ready for another couple feet of snow. At the Hill, I know I am going to need to use the Mitsu to move some of the banks back if we get too much snow, at least I have that option.

I have some paperwork to do tonight, i need to be ready for Tuesday, it will be a day full of running around and office related stuff. Also need to make sure I have an extension cord at the ready to plug in the Blurb, once it gets down to the 20s it really should be preheated.

I have been burned so many times for leaving **** out in the yard that the snow covers up. I feel your pain.

I forgot I had a rolled up garden hose under the snow last year. My snowblower sucked in about six feet of hose. Luckily, the hose is heavy duty and no damage.

I got the most important office paperwork done, now I am going to remove the rest of the snow and put away everything that I can while it is warm out, should almost feel like a productive day.

Definitely, now I am working on the mess outside, been clearing snow off a few things, going to have to use the shovel to break some of the banks down.

Chuck was out and about, so I spent a bit of quality Chuck time as well, I usually have to wake Chuck up, so it is nice when he is already out and about, especially when he watches me from the window.

I got it all cleaned up, plus some ice on the slab next to the house, I have one set of stairs that need to be cleaned off next.

I have a handful of things that need to go into the Quonset hut, we actually spent a couple hours in there the other day and made more room. The Cat V80 forklift is down there as well, need to do a compression test to find out what we are doing next, it may go away if the engine has really low compression, I don’t need four forklift projects, three is my cutoff.

I am done moving snow for today, now I have to shuffle things from all over the yard down to the Quonset hut. Looks like it may be a late night, I have to do a bunch of things tomorrow morning and after lunch the temperatures are going to plunge. If I can get everything put away it will be a huge win for today.

I know that for sure, whenever Dad brought his up to the Hill it always made a mess of the yard, didn't matter if it was muddy or not.

I took out a tire or two on the ramp truck, they aren't leaking, but a rock got stuck between them and made a nasty cut. I had to let air out to get it free, but the damage to the sidewalls is done, at least I had planned on replacing the tires anyways, but now there will not be any excursions until the tires are replaced.

How warm is it there now? I'm cold enough that everything is white now. Then again I didn't plow for this last 1" dusting we got.

We are right at 32 now, but temps are dropping, the guessers are saying a coating to 2" overnight, the cold is dropping Thursday night into Friday, Saturday's high is supposed to be around 1 degree, not including the windchill of course. Monday is back to almost 40, go figure.

Paperwork is essentially done, at least I am prepped for tomorrow, going to be a busy morning for sure.

I think this week is going to be mostly boring stuff, there is far too much of it that needs to be done. I have been kind of putting some of it off because of the weather being so good, then the snow removal has pushed it off further. Of course Thursday is Chuck Day, so I will have to celebrate that.

Doctors appointment over, more ultrasound on the elbow, I am at the bank now, then off to the town hall, then I have to go and see my Dad, he has a bunch of checks to sign, after that I have to go to the accountant’s office and pick up the 1099s and get them mailed out, at least I can sign for those. After that I have a bunch of winter clothes to go through, then I need to go home and pack up some items that are being returned. There is more, I am sure.

I am beginning to think that winter is just a cruel insanity based endeavor. A couple more inches of snow, now if I plow it, I am going to really mess things up, if I don't, all the tire tracks are going to freeze in and it will help insulate the ground so that the frost doesn't set in. Frustration.

Yeah, I wish would freeze and be done with it, but that isn't going to happen.

I just placed an order for some safety gear and rope, they couldn't quote me a price on shipping, just got the quote, now I have to cancel the order, they wanted three times as much as the rope to ship it, guess I should have waited to make sure, but the rope was a deal, guess it would only be a deal if you could pick it up.

Chuck agreed, six more weeks of winter, but like any weather guessers, they are wrong almost as much as they are right, hopefully winter will be over by Monday, I have a lot to get done.

Not really a good way to determine a shadow, but Chuck agrees on the 6 more weeks of winter.

It is cold and the temps are dropping quick, the windchill is the major pain right now, going to be almost 20 below tonight without any windchill. I am over at the Salvage Garage now, had to get some measurements on my bandsaw blades so I can order some supplies. I also delivered my newest tool to the shop, got it assembled, should be a great asset. My other saw will stay at the Hill, the new one is a compound miter version, should make cutting angles much nicer as the piece of steel doesn’t need to move, just change the saw angle.

I don’t know about that, they had a “twin cutter”, I own one, it is like a grinder with two blades that spin opposite directions and it cuts pretty well, I need to find that. My buddy bought one that was just stationary and he liked it, I already have an older Hitachi one, so I thought why not go for broke and get the miter version.
