We just moved into our new shop, 8000 Square feet, High dock, Mid Dock and a Ramp door. Still need to get some pallet rack in there but here is looking from the Plasma Area back to the FAB shop area in the middle toward the paint booth to the right of frame along with the powder coating area.
To left of frame is the grinding area. you can see the air compressor cage out the middle dock door. Will update with better pics as we progress. We make custom signage, and had 6 execs from a major box store that wants our products in their stores ASAP... None of it would be possible without that plasma table!

Hello,

Congratulations on the move. Sounds like you have a plan.

FYI:
Please read the PO agreement with the box store. Some have nasty fine for a backorder. A little mom and pop manufacturing company got in to a local box chain store. The product sold well. Then the computer picked up the sales and they wanted it in more stores. Mom and pop couldn't keep up. So some things went on BO status. Then the fines came rolling in. They ended up in bankrupt.

Yes, they initially want 10 items in 60 stores, we believe they will sell out of their 2 of 5 designs pretty fast, And will want to pick up the pace a bit, I have not seen an agreement with them, yet. But we will have a lawyer look over any contracts before signing. Our stuff is handmade (finishing) so it is hard to shortcut that or mass produce it. we do a fair job, a couple other machines would be good. a Time Saver sander would help a lot, and a couple better machines for a few of our other processes. Getting into full fledged production, There are some licensing things that will have to be worked out, as well as some other things before we will be ready for the box store...

yeah we currently have two CNC plasma tables in the shop. Pretty awesome walking through the shop today seeing them both cranking out product. I have been doing this for a LONG time. I still get excited seeing parts come off the table, get formed and then bolted on or boxed for shipping. Defiantly a big time saver

Thanks for the kind words, First planned upgrades include a second larger plasma table, plus a Stomp Shear and a Box and Pan Brake. Plus getting the powder coating line up and running like a well oiled machine.

LOL!!!! Well back in the area where the Brake is, there is plenty of space to the right of the brake, to the left of the brake is the shear... behind those where the fork truck is parked in that pic will be the Powdercoat pass through oven (not a TRUE pass through with track and so forth but an oven with a door on both ends so I just put the rack in from the right side close the door, turn on the cycle and start coating the next rack, then when the cycle finishes the guy on the other side removes the hot rack, closes the door and silences the alarm... Then we put the next rack in and rinse lather and repeat....) then the cooling area is adjacent to the paint booth... FAB area in the middle is pretty WIDE *** OPEN aside from parking the fork truck there... I have to get some pallet rack to put my flat stock on and some cantilever to put my bar stock on....
