Two years ago, my sister's family lost there home and virtually all of their belongings in a Colorado wildfire. The house rebuild is almost complete, and I've been helping my brother-in-law rebuild his tool collection.

In particular, he lost all of his nice older English and US hand-saws and hand planes. Not my area of expertise... I know the old Disston and Sheffield hand saws are very well regarded, but would like to see some pictures of some great hand rip saws, crosscuts and back saws for inspiration in what to try and find for him.

Oh, and if anybody has some nice saws they want to sell for a reasonable price for a good cause, let me know!

Not the focus of the thread, but here's a then/now picture of the house rebuild progress.

It was built using SCIP construction (Structural Concrete Insulated Panels). A high density, high insulation polystyrene core, remesh floated on both sides of the polystyrene with trusses, the panels are then erected, tied tother, windows, doorframes, exterior electric/plumbing installed cut into the foam panels, and finally a high-strength structural shotcrete/gunnite sprayed on both sides. A final 'color coat' is then hand troweled for a finished appearance. No steel, no wood, 100% of the structural strength from the concrete.
