The house looks great. I love the rustic look/feel of the house.
We did the same thing when we remodeled our house. The comfortable cabin theme is what worked for us. Looking forward to more garage updates but keep the house pics coming.

Thanks! Garage updates are to come, right now it looks exactly the same as it did before. Until the house is to the point we can move in, all the free funds and time is dedicated to the house project.

We also recently found out baby #2 is on the way, so we are on more of a time crunch to get the place done....

That's a nice looking house and shop. I like your plans. Hope it's as enjoyable as it appears to be!

We are just waiting for CO and the bank to sign off on stuff, but we are pretty much done and ready to go.. Since the back porch will eventually be fully finished and turned into an office/second living room, I had to put a temporary board across the doors to make them inoperable. Looks like we are going to get some money back from the builder, so I'm hoping I can pull a chunk of that and get concrete poured in the garage...

Finally some garage content!

The guys started on the concrete Monday. They spent the day leveling and prepping the site, and then compacted the first load of sand:

Then Tuesday we got another huge load of sand delivered, in the rain. The guys then discovered what I already knew, the garage without concrete is the low point...

Wednesday they were back bright and early, and by the time I got home from work it looked like this:

Thursday they had all the plastic and expansion joints down:

Today they poured and when I left home after lunch to go back to work they were hand troweling the slab to get ready for the power trowel.

It's been a week since the concrete was finished, so yesterday I finally got to empty out my last storage unit and have everything back in one place again! Now I need to reassemble and find a home for everything....
Somewhere in that mess there is a mill, lathe, floor mounted drill press, band saw, 3 tool boxes, 2 welders, and various other tools.. Most of the big ones are in pieces as that is the only way I could move them.

If nothing else, this working from home atmosphere we are currently in has given me an excuse to fast track putting the garage back together. Since all the stores are closed and we are sticking close to home, house materials are scarce. I started assembling the larger machines so it will be easier to move them out of the way for floor prep. My plan is to move everything to half the shop, paint the floor, then swap sides and do the other side.
