I have a previous thread about a huge pile of tools that i bought over the weekend and have been sorting though it every time i get a few minutes. These are the ones i though everybody would like to see.
The nickel plated contraption is a Lowentraut Carriage wrench but missing the wood handle. It looks pretty crude but needs a good cleaning. Can any mechanic here imagine grabbing that wild contraption to do some sort of repair on a car?
The 2 sockets are old Snap-on. One has it clearly stamped around the rim (9/16) of the socket and the other (1") has a faint "S" overlapping a "O" I didn't give it a second thought until i checked out Alloy artifacts and figured out what it was.
Does anybody else have some of the really early Snap-on sockets?
