you don't even need to lay them out in a radius: I have multiple wrench sets, small to large, sockets, 1/4" drive to 1/2" drive: they'd fit just fine there.

But yeah, I'm still solidly in the 2nd hand market for now. One of these shows on craigslist, though, I'd dig it.

man what a bunch of haters we have here. i am not promoting these as being the best thing since sliced bread but many of you guys are bitching about what a stupid waste of space and money they are yet have never seen one or put there hands on one. i suppose people could say the same thing about my montezuma tool chests like in my avatar. you could try to tell me they are stupid because they don't have any triangle shaped tools to put in a triangle shaped tool box. seems to me if you put a square shaped tool or package in a drawer and have room left around it because the drawers are larger that is a good thing.

Your logic = FAIL

No tools shown in link (global). And I don't need to spend $3500 for funky shaped storage just to hold 5 cent screws. Sounds like you work for the federal government to spend US tax dollars, with logic like that.

No Gov work here although I may have to take a fulltime position against all the haters. Maybe not, just wasted key strokes. I do agree with sk farmer tho, how can someone honestly gripe about something they have never seen (in person) or touched. :dunno:

dwilliams35 said "Built for people that just want something nobody else has rather than people who need a tool chest."

The fact that it's diff is not a bad thing, just a side benefit. If no one ever thought outside the "box" I bet we would still be trying to roll around square wheels. :bitchslap

I see an eternity of chasing my punches, small tools that roll, and the occasional piece of hardware I hide so I will not lose, at the furthest corner of the draw I cannot get my fingers back to. What is the benefit of this tool. Remember, at one time a team of engineers took a few steps back and stared at the AMC Pacer and said "Boys we did it."

1) Waste of space (as everyone said)

2) My tools are not pie shape, thus even more wasted space.

Some of them are. Your hand drills are pie/wedge shaped. So is your saws-all. Every had saw you own is wedge/triangle shaped. That framing "square" is a frick'in triangle! Those tools sound pie shaped to me. Have you been looking at your tools while you've been using them?

Put any of those things in your rectangle box and ****...wasted space around them. Not as cut and dried as you think.

My personal favorite is Kennedy tool cabinets & boxes. Next is the home made cabinets, (I made one using a 1950's kitchen base cabinet). Last, I'm ashamed to say, Harbor Freight tool cabinets are the best for the price.
