Proof that my nails are currently rough with dirt and grease after putting a manhole lid back in place due to the stormwater blowing it off and before that digging in trash looking for a storm inlet that appeared to be blocked. I need to get some gloves in my truck. 
But everyone else had cherry blossom painted on their nails, and fancy three tone nail colors going on. My hands are rough so theirs are nice and pretty.

Well I got the water heater finished up. I need to get my markings off the wall, seems that pencil sticks to the wall really good and a wet rag isn’t getting it off!
I was going to put corner trims on the edge, but I think it looks fine the way it is. Now to clean up my mess.

Another quick project was to get my power tool battery charger on a timer.
Here’s my power strip and timer.
I took my power strip with a long cord and put it in the power tool cabinet.
There was a hole in the side of the cabinet already since this was an old laptop charging cabinet.
Then pushed the cabinet back to the wall and hooked up the timer and power strip cord.
I have the same timer on a Keurig in the house cause my oldest keeps forgetting to turn the Keurig off, so I knew this timer was a good option.
No that’s not all of my power tools, as I got some in the attached garage that’s wood related. I’ll do the same thing when I redo the wiring in the attached garage.

Man this is a great thread, I knew you Texans worked hard and here is the proof. Had some good times in the state over the years having visited A&M in College Station, Houston and San Antonio on different business trips. Also a big fan of that lil’ old band from Texas, ZZ Top.
So tell us all, how is the plan for that bunker door coming along. As I was reading the thread I was sure you were going to get that buttoned up before the shed was renovated. I’d suggest some red oxide on that threshold plate whilst you are finalising the design.

Thanks Cris B! I have to give credit to my parents for my work ethic and determination to do everything I do. They were the hard working folks of my family when growing up.
I too am fond of the three men band, and it’s sad to hear of the recent passing of the drummer. I’ve seen them when they were all still alive in Texas several times. Then recently I saw them when it was just two of the original members. I know Billy is doing a few more shows by himself, but wonder if he’s going to do like Lynyrd Skynyrd and eventually have someone replace himself and have a tribute band basically?
That bunker door project is bugging me, I’m trying to find the hardwares I like before I proceed with the style of the door. But when I find hinges I like, it’s usually oversea and shipping makes it unreasonable in price. One of the things I was going to do was start going through my maple wood and shape them into usable dimensional wood. But until I find the hardware I will wait to design the look. I plan to touch the threshold with some primer and black rust oleum paint soon, just the rain won’t stop falling this time of the year, which is unusual for Pa.

Got some of the wall arts up on the wall today. I did stuff in between thinking of where the next thing goes, but nothing to report really.
My license plate collection. Gonna ask my buddies back in Texas to keep an eye out for Texas style plates that I don’t have.
My mom’s fish and fishing pole art made with an Alabama plate. Along with my beer signs.
Fridge got a flag and bandanna on it. The George Strait is from when me and Dad went to his concert in 2005 in Lubbock, TX.
Some Texas related stuff that I got over the years. Afew was from my mom.
A couple of prints with Camaros.
I’m sure the layout will change but for now this is it. Only thing that’s not up is my Cindy Crawford poster I got when I was a teenager. Might put it on the opposite wall of the TV.

I saw George around that same time for the first time (maybe a year earlier) at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Stood in the mud while it poured rain in the rodeo arena...great concert!

Thanks! I didn’t want to get too cluttered, cause I’m sure I’ll come across some cool Texas related stuff in the future. I still need to get a heater installed in that corner above my bench.
This concert was at the Texas Tech Basketball arena, with Derek Bentley opening for him. It was such a total opposite of personality between those two. Derek was running around from side to side while singing his song since the stage was a 4 sided stage and people was all around the stage. George would walk to one side, stand there singing his song and when he got done singing the song then he would stroll to the other side. While Derek energy was wild and electric, George energy was calm and captivating with his singing.
I’ve seen George 4 times now since that concert, and each one was great!

Side project on the house. I was in the attic a few weeks back and noticed how hot it was up there. Looked at the fan and it wasn’t turning on. Tried spinning the blade and it was stuck. So I ordered a new fan motor and thermostat as precaution. Finally got to do that task this morning before it was too hot in the attic.
Here’s my tools and fan set on some decoration box as a table.
Here’s the fan cage in the roof where I had already removed it to figure out what motor to order.
Installing the metal conduit on the new fan. Safety shoes are on!
Here it is back in place and wired up temporarily to just test it and make sure it’s not hitting anything.
New thermostat installed and wired up before I put the cover on to test it.
New thermostat says it’s 90°F in the attic right now, so I set it at 100°F for now.
Hopefully this new motor gives me 15 years of service that I know of.
Here’s my tools and fan set on some decoration box as a table.

I’m not sure, from the look of mine there was some self tapping screws coming from the outside. I assume, that these self tappers can be removed and the top hat can be pulled off. I know I wouldn’t be able to do the wiring from outside due to the placement of the thermostat. Worst case is you send the skinny kid in the hole and have him do the wiring!

I finally installed the new vacuum line for the F250 4x4 engagement. Kept putting it off due to how messy I was going to get.
Just imagine the path this new vacuum line went and let it be sufficient of a photo.
Dirty floor. A little degreaser,
Hot water to rinse the floor.
Not perfect but cleaner then it was during the job.
I could probably get it cleaner if I had a nicer mop to scrub the floor better.
Earlier today I went to a garage sale. I needed some pliers for the forester tool kit and I got this stuff for $7. Going to use the little cooler to take some water bottles to work in the truck.
The lady had a bunch of old quarts of oil, some was 3/4 of a bottle full. I asked how much for the oil thinking I’d use them in the mowers, she said $2. Oh $2 for the 4 quarts? No it was $2 for each open quarts!
I left the oil behind and figured she can dispose of it or someone will get a better deal later today.

Went to Home Depot to look at their brooms and dust pans, got the Libman set and the broom and mop organizer.
Hung it up behind the man door since it’s an isolated spot.
Foreshadow to another project in the garage. But it won’t be here until next week based on current delivery time.

Like a *******, I emptied out 4 totes of parts this morning before taking the oldest to her college dorm today. So my benches are covered in parts currently waiting for me to sort and find places to store it.

Continued working on sorting stuff in totes and finding homes.
Currently the craftsman toolbox needs sorted and put somewhere.
The Proto toolbox is going up for sale. The other stuff needs a home.
This area needs to be purged and organized. Tempted to toss the bigger bolt bin on the market too. I wish I had a spot in the house for the toy box. But it seems like I’m the only one who cares about a toy box that my grandpa built me as a kid. It was painted pink for my daughter when she was little.
The snow blower is a customer’s. I tried to guide him to a different unit since he said he has a large driveway. I honestly hate these little blowers, I had one and it was nothing but headaches. Would plug up with snow all the time. He got it from trash, so no sentimental reason for it. Oh well, I’ll work on it and hopefully get it out of the barn soon.

The shop arrangement is coming along nicely Cody.
I found this step in the process the most rewarding after moving into mine because I could make some changes to the work flow pattern in the shop now where I didn't have the room or option in the old shop. I also found I could fabricate and make some tools for the shop that I didn't have the time to before and surely didn't have the space to store them, things like the axle mount for the engine hoist, the cart for the strut compression and other shop tools that I had wanted for many, many years. Take the time to make it your own now as I can attest that it will be much more rewarding to work in than if you just hurry and throw stuff in there just to get working. Just my 2 cents.

I just had a thought of putting the toy box on the wall up high and using it to display my car die-cast and so on! I'm probably loosing my marble with this thought, and you were probably talking about a different box
It's rewarding and stressful at the same time. My problem is I want to keep things, but I don't have enough room for everything. I also want to purge things and store stuff differently, but it will take time as budget allows the ability to buy the storage solution I'm looking for. The narrow filing drawers are something I want to get rid of, but there's several long items in there that has nowhere to go. Would be nice to put the long torque wrenches near the sockets but no room in the drawer. I'm tempted to get a 24" deep toolbox to replace the 18" deep US General box that's in the bench currently as it has 2 full width drawers. Just need to verify if the dimension of the 24" deep toolbox will fit in the current sport.
It's going to take time getting it all sorted. But I'll get it done.

Keep the toybox, Cody. It's one of those things a person should hold on to...if nothing else, pass it along to grandkid with fresh paint when the time comes.

That’s the end goal, pass it on to a grandkid. My youngest is 11 and so I hope that time is further down the line. So in the meantime I am going to put it on the wall up high. I have an idea brewing in my head, so hopefully I can execute it and when the time comes to pass it onto the grandkid with the die-cast and cars for them to play with! It’s mostly car models that my dad and mom got me and I’ve always liked them. If the grandkid wants to open the box and play with the cars I hope to be able to play with them with the kids!
