Recently added this little upgrade in the loft above the garage. This is on the plumbing wall opposite the bathroom sink so it was an easy tie in for the sink to the existing drain and water supplys already in the wall.IMG_2455.JPG

Daughter and son-in-law used it for a temporary apartment for a few months in between moving to a new place.

A new solar electric system was installed end of last October and has been online for 11 months now.

There are thirty three panels at 420W each for a total peak output of 14KW.

A 15KW hybrid inverter went in the small garage. This powers the whole compound, using solar, battery or grid, depending on what's available. IMG_2273.JPG

A transfer switch, emergency cutoffs, and panel tie in on this side.

14KWh battery for off-grid and supplemental power for riding through clouds when the solar isn't meeting load.

So far it's generated 20MWh of power in 11 months.

Yep, that's an EG4 wallmount 280Ah x 48V lithium iron phosphate battery. About 14kWh capacity, but I limit the daily discharge to 50% to leave a reserve in case the grid goes down after dark.
