Not sure if it was mentioned, but the new TTC shows the sub-10$ Facom anti slip wrenches use same forgings as Mac and perform exceptionally well too. Really top end performance for a fraction of the cost.

Surprised Stahlwille was quite bad.

Is the OP updating/compiling the list or is this scattered across 18 pages?

I believe kobalt screwdrivers sets are same as MAC

Bahco digital torque wrenches could have the same internals as Snap-On? Bahco is owned by Snap-On and the Bahco wrenches are made in USA. LEDs, button arrangements and LCDs are the same:

Seems like the Bahco are actually more expensive than the Snap On. I'm seeing prices like €1300.

I checked some German sites, the bahco can be ~750€ for the 1/2" which is about the same as the 1/2" on the US Snap On site. The Bahco is made in USA. The main difference is probably in the ratchet head - the Bahco has the 40 tooth that looks very generic and the Snap on has their dual 80. So overall the Snap On is in my opinion a better choice if it is available on your market.

Looks like Proto pry bars now get Mac style handles in grey. No real mention of this anywhere, save for some pictures on Circle C Supply's website, which is where I got this picture from. I have ordered two J2140 and one J2146 pry bars from Zoro in the past few weeks and received the new handle style despite their product pictures showing the old amber handles.

SB&D definitely got the handle design right with these prybars. The amber handles will be missed though. They remind me of rummaging through my dad's toolbox when I was a kid.

CDI (SO's torque wrench manufacturer) and Bahco are subsidiaries of Snap-On, so naturally they're going to peddle their own stuff under their umbrella. It's one of the rare causes where the Snap On's actually end up being the best value if you're buying new.

Mac RBRT Wrenches seem to be the same as USAG wrenches, But..................at double the price!
Mr Subaru breaks it down on this video:
Got the USAG metric wrenches for 95€ (I'm from Slovenia, close to Italy). I bought them for rusty fasteners. With how nice and shiny they are, I don't use them much cause I do not want to scratch them up!

They are very snug on a bolt head. USAG is not a cheap brand, they are considered one of the premium brands for industrial buyers, I guess similar to Proto or Williams in the USA. Just shows you how terribly overpriced MAC is.

Figured that some who follow this thread may find this helpful. There’s a Facebook group called “tool truck pirates” I just recently started following. The admin posts a lot of tool truck equivalents usually followed by a link to purchase, which I’m sure is an affiliate link so he can make a few bucks. I’m not associated with the page other than that it’s put me on to a few good tool truck equivalents.

Kabo. Pretty certain I saw someone ask that in this thread previously.

Are there other brands equivalent to the NAPA / Carlyle 3/8 roto- (swivel) ratchet?

According to other posts in this thread, it's an Apex product. I've looked at multiple other brands that came up on my internet searches, but what I'm seeing is they're way too short, (8 or 9 inches instead of nearly 12").

[Much Later Edit] NAPA has the R38S100 roto-ratchet on sale for $75 + tax instead of $140. I finally bought one. I have the impression that they changed suppliers, the on-line photo doesn't show the quick-release pushbutton that mine has, and the description says it's not an "Easy Release" ratchet. [/Much Later Edit]

Why do you want such a long one. I have 3/8 & 1/4" and I find the 3/8 for sure is way too long. I just don't like it.
I have a Snap-On FHNF100, at 12+ inches long. My favorite ratchet, it's only fault is not having a quick-socket-release pushbutton. I want something similar for my nephew, but I'm not paying $200 for a ratchet for a kid still in high-school.

I got him a "USA-Fort Worth-Craftsman" 3/8" and 1/4" socket set from Lowe's, that set includes short-handle ratchets for both drive sizes. He's gonna need something longer for more leverage at some point, and I have no plans to buy him 1/2" sockets/ratchet.

Make an account if you havent already. Put items you wish to purchase in yoir cart but don’t buy them. check your email the following day for discount codes for those items. It may not be specifically for those items but for certain categories

edit: this may or may not work on new accounts.

I drive through Slovenia quite a bit when I fly into Zagreb and work in Graz. Are tools like the USAG wrenches available at tool stores in Slovenia, or does one have to order them?

Not an exact copy, but really really nice… Look at KTC BRSW3L or Koken 3776N

You need to order them, I don't know of any shop that'd stock them. Then they'd probably be pricey... You can find Wera and Knipex in a Bauhaus, and in Obi I think they have the NWS pliers rebranded as Lux Profi (also York vises).

It's probably cheaper and easier to find stuff in Graz... While Austrian standard is much higher (higher salary and higher cost of living), for more niche stuff the tiny size of Slovenia limits the market and drives the prices up. I typically order stuff from Austria or Germany.

On the website Willhaben you can find a ton of awesome used stuff.

That's what I figured, but not familiar with Slovenia tool stores. I used to just fly direct to Graz, but the savings in business class has been close to $5K per flight if I go into Zagreb. The airport is nice, a Marriott close by, and I enjoy the drive to Graz. Been to Bauhaus and Obi many times. They used to have a better selection of Knipex and Wera, but seems to be shifting more towards house / cheaper brands.

Yes, I'd consider the Graz airport quite minor. Zagreb is large cause it is the only major airport in Croatia. Ljubljana is... well, still tiny :))
People around here often go to Venice for the best deals on flights.

Does anyone know who makes the digital blue point air chuck for adding air to car tires? Thank you.

Yes, it is the Astro. I have used this in homeowner-duty fashion for many years and can tell you it's a solid tool. My only complaint is that is likes to eat batteries. I go through 2 or 3 batteries per year, with the tool used infrequently and stored in my unheated garage tool chest. Not as big of a deal as it may sound as the battery swap is fast and easy and requires only a Phillips screwdriver. My over-55 eyes can tell you that once you go digital, you'll never go back.

Thank you. Tired of my Milton gauges always being out of whack. They seem to lose calibration. Saw this in our bus mechanic’s shop. It’s sweet.

I bought the Snap On kit back in 2005 as a dumb kid. I just recently found out Irwin had made that set. In fact, going through my tool box I found a lot of Snappy stuff that said made FOR snap on :cautious::cry:
We have all made that mistake. I've been going through my box and replacing that stuff with used OE stuff, and selling off the Snap-On.
