At better than 6 grand that's a bit steep, think I"ll swing by the airport an look for some spare landing gear. But as a former draftsman, hell yea, I'm in love!

Brings back fond memories. In High School I worked as janitor, and in one section of the office building I cleaned was a civil engineering firm with all the drafting tables. Sometimes it would take you a very long time to vacuum all the little eraser shavings. One draftsman in particular was notorious for all the remnants of his mistakes. Great job.

I also have a Mayline electric table that i put a 3' by 5' top on, then topped it off with a Kuhlmann 5' track drafting machine that has worked great for 30 plus years ' Priceless '

True for the most part, but you have to admit, it's nice to be able to draw something up either way without spending many thousands on good CAD software.

This makes me want to attach a bigazz high resolution monitor to the bottom of a piece of tempered glass, mounted on a height/tilt adjustment base and add a keyboard and mouse tray at the bottom. Low tilt for real drafting/drawing and vertical for use as a computer. As a bonus, show an all-white picture for use as a light table. Hmm... I suddenly have a cool project to do in my nonexistent free time

Now that I've shocked 'ya, what a beautiful table, and reminder of a long lost time. I wonder what the point was tho, it's kinda over the top when the simple version is just as functional, maybe just to make the workplace a more pleasant place to be?

I found this 1940's Vard drafting table at an architectural salvage place the other day. It might be the single most incredible shop piece I've ever laid my eyes on. Beautiful...
