6 or 7 years ago there was a thread where you could post a pic from the garage and some of the scenery was pretty amazing, some lucky guys to have a view like that from the garage. Truthfully, it made me insanely jealous. At the time I was living in a typical So. Cal. San Diego suburbia and the only view I had was the dudes driveway across the street. Now living in the historical area of Kingman, Az., I not only have a view of the neighborhood (which dates back to an 1800's miners camp) but also of the Hualapai Mountains.
So, if ya gots a nice view....or not so nice, take a pic and post it along with the location, then sit back and enjoy the view.

softailgarage, that's a You **** 11 on a 10 scale. Very nice. Wife is from NM, she still misses her mountains.

Had to cheat a bit, this is about 10 yards down the driveway to get this,

The mountain you see is Mt. Jefferson.

This one is also from the driveway. Picking corn on a fall morning;

And from the garage door,

Looking closly I realize that the rainbow is hitting the ground where my old place is; where I lived for 30 years and raised my family. I didn't get far in life...1/2 mile down the road.

I have a better view from cupola, this is from garage upstairs. I'm building a horse stable in back.0f5ec96c89015ff2f47c22a3bcab3fff.jpgc2925e9324eb0eed2b11560bac0e45c3.jpg

That is a nice view! Everywhere I've ever lived has been pretty boring. Never been near mountains

Not 100% true - because I had to walk to the other end of the house - call it the view from the porch. Don't look for this green to last. It will all be brown in a few months.

Glad to see you found happiness from your garage softail. Nice view for sure.

My last shop the view out of my shop was the back of my house and then the neighbor across the street and if you really looked hard you could see the outline of the mountain tops.

In my new shop I have a beautiful view of the mountains out of both of my shop windows, although I may block one when I plant a few trees, but then whether I step outside the door of my shop I can look to the east and see my Wasatch Mountains....

I have not visited Kingman but grew up my whole life hearing about it. My Parents and grandparents lived there in the 50's and 60's moved a few months before I was born. Grandpa worked at the Chrysler dealership which I believe was Koffman Motors at the time. Beautiful view by the way.

I was in my driveway and noticed we had a new neighbor move in behind us. Guess we better keep the dogs locked up.

On a topic-related note, I wouldn't mind installing windows on the side wall of our turned 2-car garage to take advantage of the natural light and pond view.

Holy **** that's a nice lawn!

Thank you. It's been a struggle to get the yard to where my last one was. The back yard shown in the picture I ended up ripping the previous owner's attempt at a lawn out and completely redid the yard sprinkler system and installed the fence when I built the shop two years. I should have done the same thing with the front yard but I've been nursing it along trying to revive it. It's getting there but not as nice as the back yard.

Thank you for noticing and commenting.

I look forward to the day the GF and I can have a coffee on the deck overlooking the prairies of Alberta or the days I can leave the big doors open while wrenching on projects.

City life ***** some days.

Yeah I'll play.
I've only lived here for two months.:) and already know it's the last home I'll need.

No house just a lined steel 40x25 1/2 workshop 1/2 dwelling. 1.5 acres of sub tropical hillside with a few improvements by the P.O. A simple bachelor life for me and Willa the wonderdog

Visited daily by native birds such as kookaburras and rosellas and even have a water monitor living in the jungle.

Planning for an additional 50 x 30 workshop with mezzanine dwelling. I hope to start a build thread if I remember to take enough pics as I go along. Plans have slowed at the moment as it has barely stopped raining since I've been here and I'm not game to chew up more ground than I need to with the skid steer:mad:
