Spectacular. The reconditioned case came out great, Todd. As I told you yesterday at your shop, the tools look even better when you're holding them in your hands..., and you could use them as utensils they're so clean.

It's cool enough as is, but how cool would it have been if Blackhawk had put the branding on the outside of the spine instead of the inside? That thing would be right at home stood up on a library shelf between a big fat vintage OED and a big fat vintage King James! :)

Right?! but keep the one on the inside too. As it is, could shadowbox that badboy, UV glass, the works.

Picked up another Blackhawk S4 w/light Saturday. I now have one for each corner of my Ford tractor, and a spare or two.

Blackhawk flea market finds from this morning. I'll admit that these are the first Blackhawk pieces I've brought home so I'd welcome some schooling. Included is a newer 3/8" drive 11/16" 12 pt #30022, a 1/2" drive 13/16" 12 pt #D26, a 1/2" drive 15/16" 6 pt with a #30 that might be a PO mark, and a 1/2" drive 19/32" 6 pt no number. Interesting that all three of the older sockets have somewhat different knurling patterns on them.

Is that the correct lens cover? I was going to have some made but I can't get mine off. It unscrews about 1 turn then catches......last thing I want to do is force it!

Disassembled the newest S4 jack find today.
This is actually the first one that I've completely torn down ever. Inside the pump doesn't look good, this might be for parts.

I can assure you that there is still vintage blackhawk out there to find. Here is a partial socket set from about 1920 (I have a 1919 catalog) that I picked up at an auction last Saturday. Nine sockets are correct and all the drivers are correct except the universal. I do have the correct ratchet and a couple of sockets to add from my stash. I paid big money, $9.00.

I haven't run into a box set in the wild for a few years and I traded away my last box set, but I do still run into bits and pieces. Found an early 19/32" Arrowhead logo 6-pointer socket today, for example. I sent about a dozen of these, all collected onesy-twosy, to GJ member notlob last year, and I think this makes 4 or 5 of them built up again already just poking through toolboxes every week.

Twertsy- what is your timeline for getting the lenses made? I would buy 2 if someone made them!
