well boys, figured its about time i started a thread and quit lurking on here. Been reading about all the great garages on here for several years, just waiting for when i could actually get my first home and have a garage to call my own. Now i know yall are all about pics of it didnt happen but unfortunately i dont have any at the moment. Let's break it down into the three catagories:
THE GOOD: 1900's era house. new fondation, wiring, plumbing. part of the unfinished basement has been turned into a wood working shop by previous owner and I intend on using this area for the same purpose. Also the basement workshop has radiant heating installed in the flooring.
THE BAD: detached 2-car garage that has been on the forgotten side of maintainence for a while. But it is for the most part a blank canvas. very blank i would say.
and finally
THE UGLY:Always seems like i have some bad timing in my life and this house is following suite. About 20 days from being able to get the keys and move in a decent storm rolled through and busted up the town. The place im buying had around 8 or so windows busted due to hail and obiviously this and the other repairs the insurance said needed attention has put a halt to moving in when i wanted to. Honestly it looks like it will be a few months before all this can be done and over with and i can move in.
Anyway thank you guys for all posting your awesome garages and workspaces on here. For now all i can do is keep reading, learning and getting great ideas from yall.
