Today I picked this up at an estate liquidator that I frequent. Its a WEN Toter. Its 18" long, 6" wide and 8" tall at the top of the handle. The little tray can be removed or positioned anywhere along the length of the box. I gave $3 for it. :)

Anyone have an info or history on this??

That is a great deal!
Very cool vintage tool tote.

The address format gives you some clue to the age.

"Chicago, 31, Illinois."

Zip codes were introduced in 1963, making this old "postal zone" type of address older than that.

WEN was a tool manufacturer that sold their own branded tools. I remember soldering irons with that name on them. WEN also made tools for Sears. I have an electric sheet metal shear/nibbler combination that was made by WEN for Sears that is about 40 years old. WEN made pretty good quality tools.

Your tote tray was an excellent buy. It follows the form popular with carpenters and plumbers back in the day. The nice thing is that there is enough depth to load a few bulky items in there without them spilling over the edges!

I inherited a few Wen tools. Aside from a 1/2" drill, they were not very good. Lots of noise and little actual work. I've never seen a Wen tool tote. Looks like one of their better products. Good score, Scout Driver! You ****!
