Didn't need much more for my 'clean' bench but with 1.5" top it's pretty sturdy. As well dedicated storage for chop saws, jack stands and the necessary beer fridge? Welding table is close to same height so I can use that for additional bench space

Other side where the compressor will sit as well a milling machine. And stereo. Angled pieces in the corners are for the speakers.

Still need to make doors for all the cabinets.

Concealed bolt bin, spray cans and the like at the back, out of my way. Still got a few more coats of whitewash to do before the two tone paint goes on the lower half. But happy with the current status before I start my 14/7 job this week.

It's really coming together nicely. What is that batch of 8 light switches for?

Lights are 12 but switched into 6 alternate zones (thank god as I only need 3of the 2 each for normal use, but if painting or working on the trucks I need extra,I got it)

48 4' bulbs..... I can damn near signal in a jet from the airport!

7th is for outdoor lights and 8th will be for ceiling fans.:3gears:

Later date will be a 4' LED under cabinet light for work over the bench as well a motion sensed LED light for when I come or drive into the garage. AND rope lighting for the beer sessions. GREEN!

How wide is your lot? Looks to be about 30 feet. That is tight. Having alley access mitigates some of that. Were you limited as to the size of garage or could you have built bigger?

32' I applied to go 26 wide by 24 deep, that was turned down so I said I already paid the 700$, at least give me 24 square. Approved. I am at 1.2% over what the city would allow me over code without the variance permit that I applied for.

Of course I want bigger but for all intents and purposes, any bigger of a lot would of been for RV storage. I am happy with the size and years and years of thinking.....not to mention so many ideas stolen from here and buddies.

Finally decided on a paint colour, Walls and cabinet frames are going eggshell white as not to blind me with brightness, lower third including the workbench will go something like industrial grey, with a stripe around the perimeter in a dark grey which be close to what I painting my bronco in. All cabinet and work bench doors as well the bench top in black.

Should look pretty sweet!

Picked these 42" tall tower speakers off an online garage sale thing then hit up Best Buy for a new 2 channel A/B Sony FM receiver. Pretty loud enough for me.

Gotta move some shelves around to put these suckers up before Christmas. Sure will help in the motivation dept to have tunes rocking out, despite some pissed off neighbors.

Finally made my power corner all business. Finally hauled the 80 gallon 5 hp 2 stage compressor over from my moms. Buddy says it must be 250 lbs dry. Need to hit it with a bottle of simple green and hope it takes the years of diesel soot off. That tool box is soon to hit kijiji for a more suitable to me 36" model.

Small cabinet door next to the speaker clears the head by 1/4"!!!!

From time of excavation to closed up was 1 month.

Think it was around 15-18g Canadian.

Now spring is here, focus has shifted from garage basics to a 3 level huge deck that will eliminate half of the grass in the back yard, then grass for the rest. Neighbors want a new fence too. List finishes off with get my Cummins back on the road.

Where work comes, that's priority one.

Got tired of bronco parts collecting dust and unused cupboards so one day I decided to rectify the issue and organize it all!

Hung promo banners to really add some feels to the bare walls. Still need to get myself a tire rack so I can add my summer tires to the wall where my gf’s currently hanging as well.

Decided my beer fridge needed to blend in. And sure enough it has stumped a few and blown the minds of others!

Now I got to extend the workbench to keep the box and half underneath too. It’s not wide enough for me now. Might also get a 36” wide top and bottom to stuff In the corner.

Time to shove the yard tools over to my folks for one last winter as next spring I gonna put a shed on the narrow side of the house for that stuff and my gf’s gardening stuff/plant pots.

Finally got my quad moved back out to the garage and space to play with tools and the trucks! Gonna be moving my welding table back out to this spot as well looking to getting one more toolbox to stick in the 36” wide spot behind the man door.

Getting really tired of moving this to get to that, so time to really build some organization into the shop and get rid of **** I don’t need, especially for when I get back on the off-road truck.

Overhead steel storage. Needs more uprights and shelves. Digging into what I have on hand.

Rehabilitation of an old drill press (think 70s, maybe early 80s) given to me from an old friend when his dad passed away.

Eventually it will go on a mobile base with a side cabinet tucked inside and standing off to the side as in a tribute to the old man.

Drill press will go gun metal grey with black.

Finally got around to the workbench extension. Now I got more horizontal space to put my beer, tools can’t fall behind or roll under the 42” box.

Still need to double up the new section then tie it all in together.

Finally seeing my brain calming down to focus on the truck now winter truly is here and I am ready outside for it.

My latest project is 60% done and looking pretty deadly. Plans are to have them fully welded out before I leave for work again, then to order some parts before I pull the cage out when I get back next to do sheet metal mods with these going in.

Wheel wells for my 72 bronco due to me pushing rear diff back 4”. Wanted to practice thin gauge welding before back onto inlet/outlet tubes of the fuel tank.

So here’s the latest.

Now it’s all coming together.....only thing I wish I could change would be 75% of the trusses to be cathedral ceiling over the vehicles and normal trusses in front of the vehicles.

Just before I head back north to work, I made some progress on the DYI fuel tank. 20 gallons. Just a bit left to do then finally get it off my welding table and back under the bronco so I can retrofit the fuel system on next set of days off.

Been wanting to get my drill press off the floor and better storage for day to day tools.

Then Made an angle iron mobile base that will get levelling feet too.

Top drawers already got drill bits and lowest drawers got gloves!

Now to shorten up the shaft 4-6” so I can slide it under the cupboard to the right. And get back onto the truck.

Made my workbench way bigger and painted for self consciousness. Am lookin for LED lights that are linkable as well motion sensed as Costco no longer carries that specific one and my pickiness wants the up to two or 3 lights to be the same.

Finally got all the issues fixed on the tank and squeezed back into place.

Then sectioned out the floor to get a decent slope on the 2” filler tube right up to the fuel door opening from the tank....no air locks here!

Finally threw the drivers front flare back on, it’s amazing how one little detail can make an impact on the finished look of the truck. Gonna order new rear flares as well quarter panels to fill in the extended wheelbase modification.

Thinking when I go to fix all the cutting out of the rear cargo area, maybe better to go full size box then section it to size requirements?

Picked up heated seats for the bronco out of a ‘09 Subaru WRX. Immediately went and pulled off the stock floor mounts. Need to modify the cage crossbars to have them sit lower.

Molly already claimed shotgun for the first ride when it happens.
