This different than a dream workshop. To get one of those you need to win a lottery. Instead where all the chisels and handsaws are sharp, the workbenches are clear and all the old machines are repaired and modified to better than new. I'm retired now, I don't think I'll live long enough.:bounce::bounce:

I agree. Get started. Just realize that you will never finish.

I’ve been working on my retirement shop ten years now. It’s still a work in progress. Good Luck and have fun creating yours.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Inside the plastic shrouds of modern cars there are so many hiding places for 10mm sockets, it's a wonder any of us have one. And the 6mm bolt is a favourite of engineers. I've had the same Craftsman one since the late '60s. I hope that hasn't jinxed me.

Sometimes the list of projects get a bit over whelming. Not that I find anyone project in itself is that difficult, just time consuming.

We are looking to move and a larger shop will make it easier.

I waited until about four years before I retired to get the shop I wanted all my life. No time clock. No schedule. No boss. No customer. Just me & my ever growing collection of tools. I never in my life thought I'd have the things I have today. Grateful as hell.
