I'll preface this with "I'm not a pro, blah, blah, blah", but those drivers are one of HF's homeruns. I keep a set of those at my building, have used them for a few years now, and they've never failed me.

Coach

I mean if you really think about it... people were making Phillips screwdrivers in the 1930s... one would think by 2024 you could manufacture one cheaply with the advances in material science and manufacturing.

To the OP, I used a similar looking screwdriver as I recall looking at the tip oddly. Couldn't find it so it might be at a friend's house. I do recall it seemed to be junk.

I had these screwdrivers that I never used and I gave them to a friend. I then went to her house and tried to use them. I mean they worked, but wow, it was a horrible experience. I scrounged a much better set and told her to toss these in the trash. I asked her to send me a photo before she pitched them.

These are the worst phillips head I ever used. I started this post to see if these are even Phillips and I found a link on Amazon where they are available so I know they are. But WOW, avoid these.

I have used those in other people's homes and they are indeed pure ****. I'm surprised Stanley puts their name on them.

That set of Stanley was never ment for any pro work it was sold on the cheap to Mary, Barbara, betty, Alice homemakers kitchen drawers of America.

Now I realize that many people are going to say well Stanley used to make fantastic screwdrivers yes, (they did, and you can read all my old posts); but they also made cheaper hairy homeowner **** also.

The problem lies in moving production to mainline China, when poor steel was added to the mix and shareholders were appeased.

An old story...
