got my mr heater 4500lp mounted and now looking at wiring for thermastat. I HAVE A 18 awg wire that has 5 different colored wires , should I just be using the red and white wires and disregaurd the others?
Basically yes those are the only 2 you need for a straight heat unit .On a heat /cool system red would be 24V hot white is heat yelow is cool green is the blower and blue is often used as a common.
