Also, the 6' adjustable work bench is half off, regularly $499.99, now $249.96

Hot Buys, so coupon codes for discounts don't work.

But, check your Shop Your Way, because coupons for extra points seem to work. For example, $10 surprise points for $75 spent, and $20 bonus points for $75 seem to work. So try a few different combinations, you might get some bonus points to work.

nice looking bech but IMHO even at 249.00 it seems way over priced for what you are getting and what it is used for. i guess if you are looking for a show garage it would be a good fit. again just my humble opinion.

I bought the bench the last time it was half off. It may have been around Black Friday, but I'm not sure. If you want it, I would jump on this price. It's a nice bench, but I would never pay $500.

:bounce: Thats correct and I have not seen it this low since. And the way sears works it will back to $500 tomorrow. :scared::scared:

I ran across the workbench today on slick deals. Very tempting.

If you would have to buy all the material at HD to build a full wood bench, what is a ball park figure on The cost? I'm thinking about $100? Trying To make this bench deal make sense to me..such a deep discount....

Oh man, I just realized I saw the cabinets at $180 on sale at my local sears the other day. This is too tempting for my new garage

I just cannot see so much value in these. They look nice but I'll stick with a 54" unfinished oak cabinet for $90 from Home Depot. To each their own.

An all wood bench would be about $100 in material...$45-50 3/4ply (doubled for top), ~$50 for 4x4 legs & basic cross support rails.

For me, with a newborn, I'm buying time. I need a second work bench for assembly...and to hold those projects that are in the middle of being built, & somehow get delayed by life :headscrat... The added feature of height adjustment sounds nice.

FYI, I've checked these benches out before, there's 4" from the top's edge to the legs, no front cross support, & flat iron from front to back legs..... nice features that are nice for a wood or multipurpose vise

Thanks again EDJack for the post.

For the cabinets, I've had both Gladiator 30's and wood (that I made). For me, the 30's don't have flex like a lot of the low cost steel cabinets, more resistant to chemicals, finished, and has a lock if you want to keep the kids out....

Applying Stain and poly can take some time, usually a week long process...the man hours might be some $$ saved over the sticker price..

If u'r wanting custom colors, wood might be an easy option....the Mel covered osb shelves that come with the store bought **** though, it always peels off and can even chip.

Hope these thoughts help and give others thoughts to consider.
