This is for those of you who have radiant in floor heat. What are you using for a thermostat? Are you using an in the floor sensor? If so, what do you leave the floor set at compared to your desired room temp?
Currently I'm using a standard air temp thermostat, regular old analog round dial mechanical.
...so I just picked up a non-programmable digital Honeywell for less than $20.00.
Works fine for my setup. I just set it & forget it.
That would be called an outdoor reset. I have one for my boiler, just haven't had a chance to install it yet.
I just have air temp thermostats for the house/garage. Only problem I have is that during the fall and spring it has a tendency to overheat the room. I think the outdoor reset would help with that... and I'm sure a floor sensor would as well.
