So we had some power surges and a brief outage the other evening and I noticed the thermostat now says Comm Error / Fault. The AC wasn't on at the time of the surge so all is OK there, but I think it may have fried the thermostat. Thermostat is an older White Rodgers programmable as seen below. The user manual does not have a section on this error so that is of no help. I reset it a few times but the error still comes back. The AC will still run but only if you set the temp and set it to hold. Can't program it or even change the time. Thinking I will need to replace it, anyone have any experience with this model? My google foo is weak with this one, I can't find much info surprisingly.
