I know its in the heating-a/c of garage, but hopefully someone can help me anyhow:

The time display of my carrier thermostat blinks intermittently only when the system is set to heat. This is the second heating season for this issue.

This is my thermostat as viewed form the back, and at the wall. All wire connections are tight. I need this fixed, as every time the time display starts blinking the thermostat loses time, and then my programs don't run as they should.

TIA

I assume:shocking: that we are looking for AC voltage?

If so I have 28 volts AC at the r and c.

If I jumper r and w the heat comes on.

I assume 28 volts is NOT an indication that the transformer is bad, toasting the stat?
