Hey Guys,

I'm going to be installing a Unit Heater for my 28x20 shop/garage. The only question I have is where to install the thermostat?
I was thinking below the Unit Heater itself or on the wall between the man door and garage door where i have the light switches.

In the p]icture its the red unit ;)

Thermostats are typically installed on interior walls away from sources of heat or cold. If this was a forced air system with a return, you would also want to install it near the return air duct. That said, I'd consider installing it near where you will be spending the most time in the garage when the heater is running.

I wouldn't install it near the two doors or near the window.

The garage is a detach so no interior walls and the heater is a hanging unit heater.

Should I install the thermostat below the heater? my walls are 13ft. only problem is that the heater is on the side of the window.

Or do I install it at the back left corner as that is where they work bench are will be?
