Thermostat wire junction box

I need to (****) splice two thermostat wire bundles together. Is there such a device as a "thermostat wire junction box"? With female parts just like the inside of a thermostat that has little screws to fasten the wires? This bundle controls a ground water/geothermal heat pump so there are lots of little wires. Thanks!

anything I've ever seen is just wire nut them together , wrap a bit of tape to hold them a bit & call it done .
there are terminal strips available, but not really necessary , IMO

If "little wires" are 20awg or less, and there's lots of them, you could use a 66 block and clips.

I do a lot of low voltage work. What you're looking for is a Phoenix connector. I use them with RFID readers to save on wiring pigtails.

If you buy male and female versions they'll plug into each other.

just wire nut / or solder them with heat shrink them and tape it up like what is mentioned in post #2.

I agree with wire nuts and tape. Low voltage wires like thermostat wire do not need to be in a box.

I don’t know if they are still a thing, but I used UY and UR splices for low volt stuff years ago when the wire count didn’t require a punch down block like above.

problem with this is that by the time you connected 5 or 7 wires with those... you have a huge bunch of Thinggy flopping around unsightly.

Yup. Not too mention solid copper only.

Low voltage does not require junction box, but it’s your house. You could just mount switch box and put blank plate over it.
