Results 1 - 4 of 4 for "protop ii" "made in germany". (0.23 seconds)
Your search - "protop ii" "made in czech" - did not match any documents

that probably solves that.

Witte makes very good screwdrivers......they have really large thick handles....not something I like but it might be something you will like....Witte does private labeling for Matco screwdrivers

I saw those in the holiday flyer too. I tried to find them from the usual witte sources without any luck. They must be real new. The striking cap is similiar to wera chisel drivers. I like the fact that witte lost the handle hole in favor of a hex bolster on the blade. Although I've never had a problem with the hole. I'm someone can find a different source a third cheaper than sears.

I like the looks of the Wiha striking cap screwdrivers. Was looking at a set from J&L for alot less than $150. Can't remember off the top of my head but I think they were around $60 for a set.

Witte has plants in Mexico and Germany. Kirchhoff has no manufacturing presence in the Czech Republic. To date the only Kirchhoff presence in the far east is for their automotive arm:

The answer to the OP's question is - probably Germany, maybe Mexico. Either way Witte's quality is exemplary, but personally I prefer Wiha's handles.
