Well.. If it's any consolation, your not the first one to make that mistake, get the thread file out and finish with a die if you have one.

I would do that, but 1 side is almost bent a little. I filed the threads and no luck.

^^ This is what I was talking about. It goes through the lifting part, and i lubricated by the zerk fitting. Please let me know if you have a spare one, otherwise might have to get it re-threaded.

I don't have any extras, outside of messing up the threads you might have swelled the end to the point where it won't come thru the frame (if you ever intend to remove the unit) so you might need to do some fine grinding. I would concentrate on cleaning up the threads.
