Remember the tanker trucks in the X-Files movie?
It may look like a Cornwell truck but I doubt it has tools inside.

I'll be stepping on one as soon as lunch over, the guy is like clock work. And his truck is well stocked. I had never owned a Cornwell tool till he showed up, I think its a high quality product. The Snappy truck (so i'm told) comes by around 4-5 o'clock, I start @5am so I'm home by the time he shows up. I'd love to do business with him we just can't get together.

No wonder they don't sell any tools, they put white paint over their phone numbers!

A Cornwell truck stops by my friends work every week. He actually traded his Snap-On box for a Cornwell box and loves it.

I actually see them drive through the home depot parking lot a lot. They probably get a lot of DIYers buggin the **** out of them not know that Cornwell is professional quality and costs way more then Husky junk in HD.

From his facebook page

Mars Hill supports a little-known tool truck brand...who'da thunk it? I'm guessing he's got a huge territory so that he can hit Asheville, but I'm still surprised. I don't have facebook -- does he have an email address posted? I wouldn't mind doing business next time I'm up that way.

Yes, I had that thought too. Nice touch getting that hood star in there!

Ha, yeah, I didn't see the star until I posted the pic. It's an '85 300TD wagon with almost 300K on it, so it's not like I'm cruising around in a new SLS AMG GT Roadster or anything like that.

I was not tailing the truck, otherwise I would have followed him when he turned off at the Ford dealership. I was taking my daughter to school. The truck did pass us at a light, and I did think, wow, I hope I can catch up to it to take a picture of it!

On another note, I did see a MAC truck in the mall parking lot the other day, but was unable to take a pic of that. Maybe next time.

I saw one in Seguin Tx on Monday. Didn't have time for a pic. Passed it at a traffic light and thought what the hell was that.

There is one in the Jackson MN area just FYI

Also saw one in Columbus Nebraska when I was there for a job interview, the guy was not from Columbus but a neighboring town if I remember correctly.

I see one of those every Tuesday. You always know when he pulls up even if the shop doors are closed, his truck has a loud brake squeak. :lol_hitti

Saw a newer model Cornwell truck in Lenexa, Ks on Tuesday around 3:30. If I didn't have to be somewhere I would have stopped.

We just got a cornwell truck, a younger guy who used to be a tech but got hurt and decided he wanted a new job. He's cool, kinda jumpy to sell but he's new.here every Tuesday so that's a good thing.

What other brands ( besides Mac, Snap-On, Matco, and Cornwell) do any of you fellows see being distributed by truck?

Just the other day I saw a SK tool truck...I dont live in a HUGE area, but we have all the tool trucks...Duplicates of some actually due to the way territories are laid out.

One it Spartanburg, SC. Nice guy, ex Marine. He warrentied a ratchet for me with peeling chrome. Not my idea, all I wanted was to buy a new kit because I didn't like the amount of wear on the gear teeth, but he said bad chrome was a warrenty issue.
He'll get what business I'm likely to have for Cornwell stuff.

I couldn't tell from the hood star. :lol_hitti

Back in the day there were lots of high mileage ones. Guys would spend any amount of money rebuilding those engines, they liked them so much. Now there's fewer, and around here they have to spend more on the rusty bodies than the engines.

Around here the Mac tool truck is the bigfoot. I have seen one in 10 years. I see the Cornwell and snap on once a week. Matco I don't buy anything from but I see him around all the time.

Just bumpin an old thread but thought it was funny that we had a Cornwell guy stop by our shop Monday and hand out all his catalouges. I'm not that familiar with their stuff since this is the first Cornwell guy i ever met, but damn it seems expensive for a lesser known brand!

I actually found this thread searching to see if there were any must haves from this guy or if its just a second less popular snap on truck.

Their must haves are their extra-long combination wrenches and their traditional pear head ratchets with the ultra comfortable smooth contoured handle.

The Cornwell truck use to come through town all the time or I would see them getting on the freeway. I have not seen one in a few years now. When I get Cornwell tools I can't sell them in my second hand shop or at the swap meets. They just don't sell here in Southern California. Good tools but no one buys them. I can't keep Snap-on tools in the store or Craftsman for that matter. All the other brands are slow to sell.
