I vote Armstrong. Just got one in from HJE and it's awesome.

NAPA carries the Carlyle and it's a cheaper alternative to buying a snappy. Looks like above average quality with lots of teeth and it's not made in China.

You're right, the Carlyle isn't a thick handle, by no means.

That carlyle looks a lot like my matco which might be gearwrench or armstrong rebrand anyway.

I would just like to know, which is the best 1/4" ratchet on the market, based upon value for the dollar, and not upon a brand name.

Short and long handle.

1/4"? Well, you're never putting real torque on them, so basically the 72t composite one from Harbor Freight would be my guess as the best value/money in the world.

yep, but on another note that snappy is ****!

id have guessed it looked around 10" until i saw the last picture. i bet its comfortable.

Thank you...I been wanting it for awhile I just couldn't swallow that much money for a 1/4" but I finally did
I think I'm gonna be using 1/4" now a lot more than 3/8"!!
