Thin/narrow grease hose coupler

Is there such a thing as a thinner grease hose coupler, something that allows access to u-joint zerks?

Yes! At least they used to, We bought a 1978 Blazer,with full time 4 W D, It was a strange setup. It had a transfer case made by Chrysler and a short drive shaft with a bunch of U joints, that you couldn't get into to lube. I went to the local Chevy dealer and they had the fitting that worked. Long time ago but it might be worth a try. Ken.

Alot of the new grease guns have a tip that is bigger than 1/2" across. I have a Plews brand coupler with a zert threaded into it for tight places, as the fatter couplers have stronger jaws and hold better. Most parts houses should have them on the wall with the grease guns and accessories.

I have a fitting in my box I use once in a while for tough access zerks. It is like the 1st from the left one in this kit (not the hose):

It slides on from the side, rather than straight on.

I use one at work all the time very similar to the one second from the left, not including the hose. You place the tip of the tube on the zerk, and apply pressure to keep it from leaking past as you apply grease. It does not lock on, just is held in place. Works well for driveshafts.

I have an old one that looks similar to the one on the left, but you can pull it upward and then it goes 90 degrees. It swivels and the grease goes through the swivel part. Yard sale find.

I ordered one like the second from the left. I'll see how it works. It's called a recessed grease coupler.

I dont know why they make the ends so fat, 1/2" across or bigger. Even 1/8" smaller would help.
