Don't ask.
I want (need) to replace the rollers on a couple garage doors. The doors are older fiberglass doors which seem to have been very common for a time (30-50 years ago?). I don't know the manufacturer.

After much searching I've found very few with thin (5/16") stems and none that are nylon/plastic.
I also considered replacing the hinges/brackets but haven't found any that look like they will fit these doors.

Does anyone know of any source for rollers/hinges for these old doors?

You might check out a local dealer or installer. They may have a used one in the scrap pile that may have a few good parts left. If you haven't found any new ones on the net, doubtful they are out there.

I have more questions than answers.
You can update the hinges to newer hinges and rollers. The top roller bracket you have may need some mods to update.

Truck and trailers use a different size stem for there roll up doors. Been awhile since I've dealt with one.

Now would be a good time to update the doors as well if it's in the card's. Most fiberglass doors break down over time.

That's the old Stanley hardware. No there's no off the shelf replacment.

Know someone with a lathe? When I did garage doors I'd keep a dozen on hand I'd milled down for that reason just take a standard 2"roller take the 3/32" off so it fits. It's pretty quick and easy.

As I stated I've found some options for steel rollers:
A bit expensive from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BWUN5QS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

And a couple options at another retailer:
https://www.hardwareandtools.com/pr...-garage-dr-steel-4-1-4-by-5-16-lega-0125.html

What I'm going to order:
https://www.hardwareandtools.com/na...nch-shaft-2-inch-roller-2-pack-vwpc-5682.html

And I did talk to a local door company (I have a friend that is an installer for them). Rarely are the rollers on the doors they replace worth saving.
The outside rails are very close to the side walls. Modern tracks and brackets won't fit They expect issues if I install new doors on the existing tracks.
For new doors (and tracks) they recommend reframing the openings and using narrower doors.

When the time comes, I'm assuming this is a knee knocker (big 1pc slab door that kicks out and up) - there are a couple manufacturers who still make the hardware to fit, then you simply assemble a modern door face with the brackets they supply and voila new looking door without the issues of a full retrofit
