Does anybody know of a thin walled 38mm (or 1 1/2") socket? All of mine are heavy wall impact style black sockets. I just need something thin walled or "normal" thickness. No torque requirement here at all, it's just a relativly light duty 3500 lb trailer axle castle nut inside a hub with very little clearance. If worst comes to worst, I'll mill a socket down on the outside, but if i can find a thin wall socket i'll just buy one... Thanks!

Thanks! that looks like it might work. I've got an AutoZone about 5 miles away with it in-stock. I'll give it a try.

I have always been able to get a trailer axle nut moving with either a pair of pliers/channel locks or a drift/punch. You sure you need a socket for this?

Just had a 44mm socket turned on a lathe so we could access a nut on a Kubota engine. Worked like a charm.
