Things my Grandfather saved (that I can't identify)

So, everyone has a junk drawer I'm sure. I happen to have a vintage weather head fitings box with lots of bits and bobbles that belonged to my Grandfather who used to own a Skelly service station. He was infamous about saving pieces of things and he knew exactly what everything was. Unfortunately he isn't around today to help me figure out what some of these things are, but, that's where I am hoping that you, the community at large come in.

Let's play the what is it game.

I'll start off by posting an item from my Grandfathers parts bin, if you can identify it, awesome! Bonus points if you have one and can post pictures of it.

I know a lot of you have pieces of things laying around, feel free to get in on this too!

Edit.... and now chrome won't let me upload to the forum. Standby for photos.

Ok, Sorry for the delay, I know you were all waiting intently haha. I did get an update from my dad, he said he thinks he had this box when he was a mechanic at Tinker AFB, so if anyone knows WWII era planes maybe you'll see a small piece you recognize.

I had to resize and then that didn't work so I had to go buy a cable to transfer the files to my computer.

Well, here we go, Item #1

I'm thinking maybe the pin from a hydraulic check valve of some sort?

yup, looks like a carb needle.
Suggestion to the OP. Put something known next to this stuff so size can be established.

Plunger from a float valve of some type.

Can't guess any further without reference to dimensions/scale.

Depends on the size. A lot of guess could be correct. If large 1-3" range area I would guess needle valve for a bucket type steam trap. It was grandpa's and steam worked back in the days.

Could be a clothesline tightener. I seem to remember having one with a brass tube over it.
