This is an old thread that was resurrected earlier today. But I will play along....
It's easier for me to describe tools that I DO buy from Snap On. I buy tools made out of metal from SO. Such as wrenches, ratchets, sockets, extensions, adapters, etc.... Anything made out of metal is usually pretty high quality. These items are made in the USA, by American workers, in US factories, from US material, and they are USUALLY very high quality. Snap on is one of the few tool companies still making metal tools from scratch here in the USA.
If I'm not mistaken, the only companies in the US that still have the ability to manufacture a "socket" in-house in the USA (without subbing the work out to another company/factory) are:
Snap on
Cornwell
Stanley/Proto/MAC
Wright tools
AJ Manufacturing
SK, maybe? Not sure at this exact moment.
