I don't "need" this setup
http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tool-storage-bench/peterborough/snap-on-tool-box/593971029
H56"
W29"
D18"
$450
Snap on 3 piece box with small side folding workbench.
I don't know jack about these, and would never otherwise even consider wanting/needing a SnapOn anything.

but for the price it seems pretty good, considering it's name.

I really don't have the tools to put in it even (still filling my new 56" chest)
but hey... do I buy it anyway?

Eh for the price its a little more than I would want to pay. That is an old friction slide box. It's hard to say with these old snap on boxes. The value relies a lot on how well they work, and how rusty they are. For $450 I bet you could find better.

I like that size box. They can get a little tippy, but if doesn't have any rot, it'll last for genrations, hold a bunch of tools, and fit in a tight space. price seems fair, would be a bargain at $350

well I messaged him again, they are friction slides, as expected.

I wished him best of luck with the sale... but if no one takes it in a week, few weeks, let me know and I would make a trip to grab it... we could discuss price then.

kinda hoping it get's sold, as I could spend the $ on other things, but if not, it's another piece of quality for the garage.

Nice setup of 70's snap on Canada boxes. Hard to tell condition from pics. Look like they might have been used heavily, but not abused. I think the price is on the higher side of fair for the complete set. That is assuming there are no sheet metal or drawer slide problems. Too bad they don't have the matching side cab then it would be a full set.

Should be something like
Top-KC-542?
Mid-KC-605
Bottom-KC-556

All friction slides, 26" wide, 18" deep, ~57" to the top compartment.

the measurements match up, I could ask for model number.

as it stands he emailed back saying if it's still around in a week, he could deliver it too me. I said to let me know if it comes to that, and let me know what else he wanted to "downsize" (his reason for selling in first place) and we could make the trip as worthwhile as possible.

As a reseller, those style boxes are a tough sell. You have to find the right guy. Would be for a home garage. A pro wants a double bay at least. Condition dictates price and you can't tell from the pics. I would think $450 would be top dollar and for $300 you should buy them,,,,,,,,,,,provided the drawers work somewhat smoothly.

The mid box is rare and worth something to right person. Cleaned up, it would be a nice looking combo, but it is still 26" friction slide box.

I kinda like the looks of those style snap on boxes. I don't really need another tool box, but if they were close by, and I could get them for $300-350 I would go for it, and figure out how to fill them later.
