This account has been suspended issue?

Hi y'all, Regguy1 contacted via my classic cars site. Says he's gets "This account has been suspended". I get the same thing when I log in from my big computer but I can log on with my iPad. Any ideas?

Sounds like it hit a few people, including me. A got an email from Bull suggesting to clear cookies and passwords. Google GJ adn select the forum section and sign back in. I cleared my history a few times and still didn't work till I restarted my computer.

BTW, I did notice a point in time this morning about 9:15 that GJ was taking forever to load. Mods ? Did GJ get hacked at that time ?

I think it really means that you have been targeted for Termination.....If an arnold schwarzenegger looking dude (or a liquid metal skinny guy), comes looking for you, you're toast.....

I had the same thing. Got on a different computer and emailed about log in problems. Ryan sent an email back saying they are moving servers and will be back up soon. I've been able to log back on for about 45 minutes or so now.

Same for me earlier today. Solved it by simply logging out after going back in browser, googling GJ and it worked. Didn't have to log back in.

I got bit when I reloaded a page went back via a direct link and got in fine This was about 11:50 AM. PST today. (But it did make me wonder who I had pissed off...) :evil:

It looks like there was a server problem.. posts missing from ~9am -11ish est, and I can't get in with http://www.garagejournal.com but I can with http://garagejournal.com without the www.

ip address seems to have changed from 199.193.243.152 to .153, so dns is probably all out of whack right now, which would explain why some people can get in, and some can't

I sent the site admin an email and they responded that they were switching servers which caused the suspended account error messages.

seems like it's back now, all the graphics are loading now from www.garagejournal.com and I can also log in with both addresses as well

Whew ... I got it too and I couldn't figure out for the life of me what I could have done wrong. Glad it turned out to just be a glitch of some sort. I mean, I haven't even BEGUN to start causing trouble.

I do server hosting and could probably come up with a fairly good explanation of what was going on based on the 'moving servers' response from earlier... but then I'd be thinking about work related stuff when I'd rather not be... sooo... I'll just leave it up to ya'lls imaginations.

Well, in a former community forum life (not this one - another completely different topic/themed forum), I actually had been suspended for being one of the few "non-conforming" members who partook in the "off topic / political discussion" section ... which, as you can imagine, often led to some heated "debates" on various topics and issues.

Not to worry, I gave up that obsession many years ago ... but it has happened.
So, even though I couldn't imagine what the heck I possibly could have done to piss anyone off or break any rules, I have to admit I was still a bit concerned.

Again, I'm glad to see it was just a forum-based glitch. I've been learning and absorbing too much here to have intentionally caused trouble and screw it up the soon in my "GarageJournal Community" life.

Got the same message, same as some of you'll, thought I had made someone mad, removed GJ from my fav's and reloaded it and was just fine. Really was depressing for a while the thought of losing this site.

There's your answer. In the IT world, it is called "maintenance time", and during maintenance time, things won't work.

Had the same error message(s) yesterday as well. Threw me for a loop as well, as I could not figure out what I could have possibly done 'wrong' to get "suspended".

Working today (obviously).
