Since I've been reading threads (constantly) for the past few days, I've come to a few conclusions. I'm a bit upset that all the craftsman tools I've accumulated over the years are at risk of being replaced with lesser quality tools, should they break. I should have realized this when I was buying up clearance, made in the USA sockets from Lowes (Kobalt), when they were making their change over a few years ago. I guess if one those breaks, I'll have a new, non-usa replacement. OK, I'm over it.

My purchases this week (just joined last week) are growing and it doesn't seem like its going to end soon. I'm not short on tools, I have 3 rollaways in 3 different shops at home so I don't have to go back and forth, not to mention what I stock in my vehicles, just in case. Reading about the roll-aways has me checking out every one I see at Sears/Lowes/HF and online ve

The Duralast threads have peaked my curiosity. i went on AZ's website and put in my zip. I can get the ratchet set (3 pc, 1/4-3/8-1/2) for 69.99. (70-021) Seems to be a fair price from all the press they've got on this board. but wait, I also found an 82 piece set with 78 sockets, 1 extension and all three ratchets. (They don't even include the case as a piece) And all for $10 less? 59.99. (70-509) It looks like the same sealed ratchets in the set above, but they aren't called out. So you get 79 extra pieces for $10 less? I'm on the edge of ordering it, just to take a look.

Anyone about this set and which ratchets it comes with?

Ok, here's the final talley from the past week

1):thumbup: Wiha heavy duty 5 pc screwdriver set from Crawford Tool. Good pricing and fast shipping. Got them the other day, and like them very much:thumbup:.

2):thumbup:Ernst socket rails & screwdriver holders from Automotivetoolsonline. Got shipments in 2 days, along with excellent pricing. Had an issue with a 1/2" rachet holder. Called Ernst directly and rec'd a warranteed set in a few days. Excellent service from both vendors!!!!

3) :thumbup:Wera bit holder and Wera bit ratchet from Chads toolbox. Again, good pricing and shipping. I'm not sure of the Wera handle yet, but the bit ratchet is pretty cool. Both seem high quality, but was surprised to see the "made in the Czech Republic".

4) :thumbup:New deep 26", 5 drawer Kobalt top box to sit on my Kobalt high 6 drawer bottom. I pulled it out of the box before I bought it from what I've read here. It was in great shape, love the full extension drawers and that it came with liners. I have lots of room and a few empty drawers now.

5) :thumbup:Kobalt pick and hook set. 4 & 5 were pickups from Lowes.

6):thumbup:6 pc Wiha Proturn Screwdrivers, #3 Philips HD Micro Finish, 10x200 Slotted HD Micro Finish, 5 pc Torx Micro Finish and a 10 pc AP Snap Ring Plier set from Amazon with Amex points! Only cost me $4! but I still have to wait for shipping:(

I've got to take a rest now. I think I have my boxes organized and loaded. Might give me the ambition to do some maintenance on my vehicles if the temps can stay above 30*.
