If it were me I would buy the propane heater and keep the torpedo. Just run the torpedo for a few minutes to help get the temp up quick and then shut it off. I think is you insulate the one linked should be enough but they won't get the heat up quickly.

well I have to sell my torpedo to be able to buy this one, kinda on a strict budget right now and the extra cash from the heater will let me hook it up now.prolly gonna sheetrock the ceiling in the next couple of weeks.

yea but with that garage calculator, its about 10k btu oversize for my place so it'll be good once i get the ceailing closed in. But i'll prolly get a smaller kero or propaine fired torpedo to help offset it during startup.
