I've been here two days......

so far my planned garage has increased by 600 square feet,

and it's 2' taller,

added on a shed roof 32' long,

I've added a concrete slab where I thought I could get by with gravel,

decided I need a floor lift,

apparently I need some green tools,

and now I want a working traffic light!

Thanks. Thanks alot! ;)

b) shop urinal and toilet
c) I-beam crane/trolley

And we haven't talked to you yet about lighting....what you put on the walls...windows....electric...and what color to paint it.....

Oh, and in case you haven't figured it out yet.....it's never big enough....

Whatever you do DO NOT LOOK AT STEEVO'S WORKBENCH. Oh, and in case you're wondering, yes, you do want to run built in air lines along 3 walls but no, you do not want to run them with PVC.

So we can assume you already have a shop dog, an unknown make vintage toolbox with some of grandads tools (or at least bought at a yard sale), a project that has languished too long, someone in the neighborhood that will complain, a collection of man cave decorations (license plates work fine) and have not yet considered a floor drain.

So, what are your views on Craftsman/Sears and made in America tools?

I appreciate your concern, however since my original post, my girlfriend has also registered and been reading the site.

I'd also like to send out special thanks Nighttrain, as his thread resulted in an additional 15' shed on the opposing side of the proposed project for our toyhauler, and several other costly improvements. I had that 10 grand just looking for a place to be spent, so it really isn't a big deal at all...

Dripping Springs isn't that far, perhaps I should thank him in person!

Three shop dogs.
Indiscriminate tools.
Languishing projects.
Homeowners association.
Pile of dirty, bent and rusty license plates.
Check, check, check, check and check.

Discussed the pros and cons of the floor drain over coffee this morning.

I'll be at Sears later today.

Dripping Springs , Texas? So you must be in or near Austin....I was born and raised in the DFW area.....

Toy hauler? Does that mean you have a jeep?

BTW...don't get sucked into any conversation regarding PVC for air lines...it will not end well.

Man...I could go for some good tex mex right now....actually, I'd settle for a good breakfast of eggs, grits and hotlinks...with a generous serving of Texas salsa....the stuff we get out here wouldn't eat half way through a piece of paper....I need armor piercing.
