Kind of in the way... what would you use it for? holding lumber? I think I'm going to take it down. Any ideas how I could better use it?

I have four of those shelves in my garage. The supports are adjustable. I agree, you should shorten them and keep using it. I have mine mounted above my garage door and they are a great storage solution.

People keep light stuff in plastic boxes. Like old Christmas decorations and such seasonal items.

If you got camping gear, sleeping bag, tent etc will be ok there.

chop the legs shorter so it sits closer to the ceiling, then you can hang stuff underneath it as well

Thanks! I took this advice and made the legs shorter. It now has some leftover wood flooring/trim other light pieces of wood that was sitting underneath a shelf. Scares me having something hanging from the ceiling though.
