Hello all! I wanted to share my shop and what I'm in to. I have always wanted to restore antique tractors. My family bought a house 3 years ago which had a small building on it. 16X30. It's not big but it doesn't take alot to heat it either. The building was in ruff shape. So, last year I put a new roof on with the tear off, new service door, and new siding. I plan on insulating the building this year, along with running 240V and a propane line. Right now I have a wood stove that would like to get rid of. I need the space, plus It's too much of a pain. Cheers!

Chris

I'm close (I hope) to building a garage/shop & yours is pretty much the same as the picture I have in my head of what I want. Old tractors & farm impliments are cool. Unless you actually have to use one for real work. I once drove an old steel wheel Case (930?) & it wasn't fun.

Looking good!

That sure is a fantastic makeover. Saving an old structure from demolition and I’m sure the cost was a fraction of total replacement.

BTW nice tractor! Please post pictures when you're finished.

I only spent $2000 total on the makeover! I originally wanted to tear it down and rebuild due to the slab being so badly cracked. But now I think it adds character.

Thanks,
Chris

You can do a lot of work in a small shop if you organize everything right.

With 10' walls I plan on goin vertical with those white wire shelves screwed into OSB sheeting. I think they can hold weight. Of course for storing heavy cast tractor parts I will build wood shelves on castors. Pretty much everything in my shop is on wheels.

Thanks,
Chris
